Oh look, it's the rather attractive cat that he's been seeing around quite a bit. The one he totally didn't get a good look at every time he came by.

Well, if he had to, he would of course lean in and give him a kiss on the cheek. Not that he would like it or anything.

After he had played the whole situation cool, as soon as he turns away he hides his face, blushing massively.

Not another one of those again. This was a big one, too.

It was about to kill a defenseless man! No way that was happening on this squirrel's watch. Swiftly flying over, he stands between the dark furred cat, and the massive Shadow Dusk. No time to draw his bow. Instead, he began to sing. The sky darkened. Dark as night, even blocking out the sun.

And the stars began to shine. But not in the sky, burning orbs surrounding Ray as he channeled his most powerful magic. A bright beam shone from each of them, enveloping that beast in light, until it vanished from existence. How exhausting. But at least he could still stand up straight for the moment. The sun returned, the sky was blue again. The stars vanished from where he stood, and in lacking so much energy, he was a little less courteous than he might have been to a stranger.

"Don't you know how to defend yourself? Honestly. To be out here in the woods, with those creatures about! What were you thinking?"

He sighs, with a shake of his head.

"It's a long way off from any civilization. You better stick with me until we can get you somewhere safe."

Nix didn't believe in the concept of 'love at first sight', and he was quite sure that this isn't what was happening here. But he certainly couldn't deny that the cat was indeed very handsome, enough to make the hedgehog feel slightly jealous. He briefly wondered what fur shampoo Roi used... was that a weird thing to think?

😷⯮ "It's just the truth," the hedgehog smiled slightly, and while the nervousness was likely evident in his posture, he was actually managing to keep eye contact with the feline. It wasn't just how Roi looked, either; Nix could sense a kind heart in the other, and that he knew he was finding himself drawn to.

😷⯮ "My name's Nix," he said, holding out his hand, albeit a bit nervously even still; clearly, he didn't get out all that much. "It's nice to meet you; what's your name?"
