                                      ❛ Mm , I think this is the place. ❜ Dark hues examine the piece of paper between his fingers. Looking over the scribbled writing to make sure he was at the right place. As much as he knew Japan , he still doubted his friend's ability to point him in the right direction. As young as he was, he found himself questioning even the simplest of things. Afraid of what being wrong would do for him , because in his mind there was no room for failure. With hesitation he pushed open the door , slipping in after a moment to examine where he ended. Hatori Beauty Salon ; one of the best Salons in the country. And one of the main reasons he had come back to Japan for a few days. He pauses in the door way , glancing around him before finally spotting a figure to his right. ❛ Ah.. hello ! ❜

“Of course, I can do that for you–right this way,” Shuuka gestured towards the long row of chairs and mirrors in the salon to guide her client towards them. As Miu settled into one of the chairs, Shuuka went over to the nearby cabinets to pull out some fresh towels and a salon cape. Returning to the seat that Miu chose, she laid the cape around the other girl and nimbly tucked the towel into the back. “What kind of meeting would this be? And let me know if you have any preferences for style and color, so we can match your styling to the event and your personal preferences.”

          Miu happily followed the stylist and chose her seat among the row of chairs. She sat down and gently placed her things beside her, running her fingers through long, thick locks of hair. She frowned at the faded color of her once chestnut-brown hair, now a dull ashy brown. When Shuuka returned, she leaned back and allowed her to drape the cape around her. “I’m being interviewed by a magazine. This is the first time I’ve ever done something like this, so I’m a bit nervous. I want to look my best.” She regarded her appearance once again, still pouting at the sight of her dulled hair. “You think you can revive my hair color too? It’s kinda dingy now...”

Ken it is then. I still mostly work private engagements since I’m a junior stylist, but yeah, some models and magazine shoots. Sadly I haven’t done much of the cool works you seem to be talking about, but I’m aiming for it. 

Ohh, I see, I see. Well aiming for bigger is always good. Just like you I began my career at the bottom and now I’m here, heh. Kidding but yeah, even if it might take time, once you will achieve your goal you’re gonna be proud of every single minute you spent working  your ass off to get it.

[ . . .  ] A small smirk crawled up her own lips unconsciously as she commented, “With that way of eating strawberries, it’s no wonder you have a plethora of male fans as well as female admirers, Aya-san. Better watch out for creepy stalkers.”

Unlike her partners in her shoots Aya quite enjoy the company of her stylists. Be it the ones responsible in styling her that day or the make-up artists who some have now progressed to being one of her dear friends. Today was another day for her. Morning routine crossed off from her journal, breakfast set and she was off in the company’s car to the location. But today was different from the previous on-shoot. Her usual make-up crew was headed with a new face. One she thought was familiar for her.While the head (she presumed) worked her magic on her, the other (Aya thought was very kind of the person) had ran about and made sure the counter beside the work station had ample supply of beverages. 

It was the juicy looking strawberries which she could not resist that she took the opportunity to take a bite. After given the green light from the make-up artists Aya reached for the fruit. And just as she took a bite she caught the other’s eye on her. Feeling embarrassed of the moment, the juice from the fruit dribbled slightly on the corner of her lips. “Ah!” she tried laughing it off, wiping the mess with the tip of her finger. “haha I think without this they would have found their way. But I’ll keep in mind. And please do call me Aya. Formalities sucks the fun of things don’t you think?”

Nice meeting you, I’m Kentaro but pretty much everyone around here calls me Ken. Makeup artist you say? That’s pretty cool. Meaning you work with models? Photographers too? I’ve seen amazing works when it comes to makeup, I’m always impressed by that magic you guys do.

“It really is nothing. C’mon, Neechan. I’m in university already.“ Karen knew how protective her sister can get. After many years of getting bullied, it wasn’t a rare sight for her to get a bruise. It wasn’t as though she was physically abused at school but it happened when she “accidentally” tripped over someone’s foot. However this time, the scenario was a tad different.

"Ah, Takajima-san, a walk-in appointment today?" Shuuka walked out to the waiting lounge of the salon, dressed in a simple black blouse and matching black jeans, smiling politely at her new acquaintance. "Thank you for choosing hatori beauty salon--now what can I do for you? Hair styling? Make up?"

          Miu had sat patiently in the lounge of the salon, playing a game of Hearthstone on her phone while she waited. At the sound of the young stylist’s voice, her head shot up to face her, a warm smile on her face. “Hey Shuukasan! I’m here for both actually. I have an important meeting to go to today.”
