Is it wrong of me that part of me hopes that this WGA strike leads to something beautiful and unique ala Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog (on top of getting results obviously, which is top priority)?

Making a decision of “I love this [story/section/WIP] but it’s not right” and moving it off the main doc or into a folder of scrapped/unused pieces feels weird. Like I’m giving up, but also somehow a relief?
I would like to talk to whoever is in charge of contacts/eye-cgi for The Witcher. Because goddamn, y'all have never heard of consistency have you? I'm pretty sure season everyone has had different colored eyes. (Except Joey who needs no enhancement or alteration and we love that for him.) And it's...not exactly what I'd call improvements.
But other than that, I think S3 looks really good. Visually. Not sure about the plot because the trailers have still, as typical, told us nothing. But I'm here for it and excited anyway.
So...I know the implication has been voiced that Liv wanted Grace on the SVU squad because she saw a bit of herself in her, but uh...that outburst on the stand makes me think she might have see a Baby Stabler in her instead.
Elora's sweater is one of the most impractical fucking pieces of clothing I have ever seen.
If I have to dislike anything in the show it's those sleeves.
Also it shapeshifts and confuses me.
Thoughts after Episode 1 (and only episode 1) of Willow:
Pros:
The casting is excellent. I fully believe Eric and Kit are siblings. And they believeably look like Sorsha and Madmartigan's offspring. Especially Kit looks like her mother.
Explicit Lesbians as a main couple. We love good representation
It still feels like the world of the movie, after 20ish years of peace and prosperity
Dumbass teenagers doing dumb ass teenager things. Sheltered castle kids being sheltered castle kids. It's all very realistic
Cons
No Madmartigan. I understand, for whatever reasons, Val Kilmer was not able to be involved at this time. And so far there's no explicit evidence he can't be at a later date potentially. Doesn't mean I'm not sad about it now
Sorsha is...not the Sorsha I remember, although I suppose heavy is the head that bears the crown...
Not enough Willow in a show named for him
Secret identity reveal was super easy to guess after about 30 seconds
I don't love the actress playing Jade, and I feel like she's been everywhere recently, playing basically the same character every time...
No brownies (yet). They are the best part of the movie and deserve a prime position in this save the world™ party as well
Since we have a season 4 announcement, here are some predictions based on...nothing but my own head really, and somewhat bordering on a wishlist. I just want to put them out now, before it’s trailer time so I can go “oh yeah I totally called that months ago!”
There is no Diego/Lila child. Either it was a double bluff in order to not lose him, or there was one and it’s gone now. (We assume the reason they’re all in this alternate universe and/or simulation is because Allison intervened and created it, either by virtue of the machine or on purpose. And she didn’t know about the baby. Alternately, having the life and powers drained from them nearly killed them, I can’t imagine what it would have done to something not fully formed yet.) - Also because on a more meta level, filming with a baby or small child is a nightmare of logistics and extra costs, and CGI children are creepy uncanny valley situations.
Five will continue to act as his old man self and fewer people will question it than should. I don’t think we’re going to see “Five sent to high school” or anything like that, because putting him with actual teenagers would result in a worse bloodbath than his attendance at the Board of Directors meeting.
Luther is going to look for Sloane, but in a quiet, desperate way. He’s not a pushy or tear the world apart kind of person, he knows how to Wait.
Sloane will be back, but something will not be quite right about her. Maybe she will be a terrible person because she’ll be the version of her that Allison saw/imagined. But I rather like the possibility that we’ll find her, but it will be after the simulation/new reality has put her through awful shit (on account of Allison HATED her and was pretty bloodthirsty), and she’ll be broken. And Luther will help her, because they deserve a hurt/comfort love story.
Klaus will be smart enough not to get himself killed. He didn’t know he was immortal for a long time, so it’s not going to suddenly negate all of his survival and self-sufficiency instincts.
Alternately, Klaus will get himself killed and discover that, no matter what, he is still able to traverse the Void, and that will be the key to fixing things.
Viktor will be the only one who actually adjusts to the new version of reality. He’s used to being “ordinary.” But he’s not going to be helpful to his siblings about it, and will have a “just get used to it” attitude, harking back to season 1 and feeling vindicated by them all knowing how it feels now.
Ben will start working for some sort of Hargreeves industry and will eventually become their mole. But only because he wants to get back to a world where people practically kiss the ground he walks on. He and Luther will also end up bonding a bunch/being allies in the Sloane-Search.
Diego will finally get to Kill Dad (wishful thinking, but I would love that for him).
Abigail will somehow be worse than Reginald. But will be played in a “woe is me” way that we’re supposed to feel bad for her but most viewers will be more “cool motive, still genocide” or something.
Ray will be the thing that guides Allison back to the path of “not a villain.” Because even if he’s her wish-created version, he wouldn’t be him without a strong moral compass.
Five will struggle the most with the new reality. Because it reminds him of the apocalypse in that he is trapped, essentially immobile, and cannot escape his fate/problems. It will be this fact that ultimately leads to the founding of The Commission, because he never wants to feel that way again.
I think they're handling the Rollins plot really well so far. Much much better than I expected given the slew of unceremonious or half-hearted exits of late (I'd say as far back as Dodds).
I just wish I could say the same about the individual episode plots...
