Dakota has been through an emotional ringer but it’s a totally doom and gloom type of person. She prefers to keep a level head on the outside and make sure others are comfortable and safe before addressing her own needs. She has a happen of giving off a sarcastic tone when annoyed with you though. She seems hesitant with her own powers and unsure if she’s capable of completing feats at times.
🔍 Bio
A keyblade wielder native to Radiant Garden who is seen being employed by Ansem the Wise in BBS. She was more or less an underwhelming fighter so she didn’t struggle going under the radar.
Her master is unknown, and she claims the home she is still in by KH2 happens belonged to her former master. From the span of BBS to KH2, she’s become a much more intelligent person and will pass on many useful tips to Sora and the other new keyblade users.
She is not seen using her keyblade as her main weapon until after 3D. Using magic based attacks to fight and defend herself. only using her keyblade in dire situations.
Her scars come from an accident with a heartless early on in their existence. “Heartless aren’t the same as Unversed.” Is her comment on the matter.
BBS:
Works for Ansem as an assistant/house keeper/errand girl of sorts for him.
Was the one to patch Braig up after his fight with Terra.
Has met Aqua and Terra prior to this game’s events.
Mildly protective over Ienzo due to his age.
It can be noted she does not reveal her status as a keyblade wielder directly in the game’s events.
Not she does meet Master Xehanort and he comments on her lack of real skill in power.
She seems to know what is up with Terranort but doesn’t speak up about it.
KH2:
Sora and the gang meet her in Hallow Bastion during their second visit.
It’s clear that she is familiar with who the Organization are as well as other knowledge of other worlds.
Since BBS she has been traveling worlds on her own, learning new skills and becoming stronger in her own methods
She reveals her keyblade during the major heartless attack in Hallow Bastion.
Joins them all in their journey to the World that Never was and is distressed at Xigbar’s defeat.
Sora and the gang are confused by their vague but apparently comfortable exchange.
It can be noted that in a discussion when she’s brought up about possibly eliminating, Xigbar does become rather defensive of the matter
After this, Dakota decides to take a more active role and travels to Yen Sid’s home to speak with him about what she has learned over the years.
KH 3D:
She’s present when Yen Sid presents Sora and Riku with their Mark of Mastery exam.
Warning them of their trials that they will face but also encouraging them that they’ll do just fine.
Appears during Sora’s trial now and again to give tips.
Notably shows up at the same time Xigbar does to defend Sora’s claim. As a fragmented verison of her younger self, as if called to act by Sora’s heart in need. Even expressing how his words and motivation has helped her, reassuring Sora he’s on the right path. His own path carved by other’s who are important to him
This allows her to summon her second keyblade much to what seems like Xigbar’s dismay
Later appears in person with Lea to save Sora. Her confidence seeing Xehanort completing different. Exclaiming that she wished she had the power back then to see his plans and stop him.
Her final words to the Master is that “I’ll take back what belongs to me!” making him smirk at the challenge.
Pre-KH3:
Is spending her time helping prepare Lea and Kairi in their training with the help of Merlin and the fairies.
Will be appearing in the final fight it seems...
