There was something pink in the forest and that was decidedly not normal. I had been taking a midnight walk as I was unable to sleep and decided to let the light of the full moon guide me. I did not expect to come across such an unusual being.
It was, as said before, very pink, and stood out against the dark greens and browns of the woods like red fox against snow in the winter. I approached it, burning with curiosity about its origins
Once I got closer I was able to fully observe it, and it was beautiful, its elegant long body winding hypnoticly around the trunks of trees. I was surprised it didn't get tangled with its two tails, it walked the forest as if it had known these trees its whole life, yet I had never seen anything like it before on my previous nighttime walks.
Suddenly it turned its neck to look at me. I waved nervously, “uh… hi?” Perhaps sensing I was no threat it approached without reservation, only stopping once it was right in front of me. Its head only reached to my hips so it looked up to stare at my face, waiting for something.
Hesitantly I knelt down and pet its head and neck, thankfully that seemed like the right move as the creature wrapped its body around me and sat down, chirping happily. I smiled, still petting it, I was glad it seemed to like me.
“Say, I haven't seen anything like you around here… do you have a name? Are you someone’s pet perhaps?”
The creature shook its head, then yawned and laid its head to rest on my lap.
“I guess I’ll call you Strawberry, do you mind that name Strawberry?”
The creature didn't bite my fingers off it seems Strawberry was an acceptable name.
