Happy Kids, Happy Mom
So for the past few weeks I have been babysitting an infant baby girl named Autumn. It has been good practice for taking care of two kids at once. I have to admit, it felt a little weird being in an environment where I wasn’t in control of cooking, cleaning, and making my own schedule of activities for them. And it was a little confusing having two Autumns. But it was still a great opportunity for me to grow as a mother and person.
Tuesday will be my first day taking care of a different child in my own home. She is 11 months old. I’m really looking forward to the experience of having a toddler and child, and getting things done around the house. A challenge, but I’m excited about it. The true challenge will be waking up at 8am everyday since Autumn usually wakes up around 10, and watches cartoons while eating breakfast so I can usually sneak in another hour nap.
It will really help get my schedule right though since in June I will have to wake up at 7am anyway to take Autumn to preschool. It’s an experience, a challenge, an opportunity, and a blessing. I am very happy to continue working from home and spending time with my mini me. And it will also be a good experience for her, helping out around home with the baby since she will be an older sister sooner or later.
