- I've had this scene in my head but typically it doesn't fit any of my oc's, so I've avoided names as far as I could. Feel free to use this as a prompt, but please @ me so I can read it if you do!
_____________
"Come on, pull yourself up!" He whispered desperately. If they didn't, then they would both get caught. They were very aware of this.
"I can't"
"what do you mean, you can't?"
"I mean that I'm literally chained to the floor."
There was silence after that. They were aware the cell was dark, that he couldn't see but it still hurt to admit it. Caught by their own former organisation. Pathetic.
He should just leave them down here to rot, it's what they would deserve. But he didn't. Stupid hero complex.
___
They were in the air vents now, after A had managed to open their chains. B was thankful that their clothes his the worst of the injuries - to A they just looked a bit bruised.
___
They were breathing heavily, bruised at best ribs stabbing with pain at every drag along the vent. They had to stop for a little while, but they couldn't. If B saw how bad they were hurt, then he would see them for the vulnerable mess that they really were, not the powerful former enemy they wanted to come across as.
___
Light. Finally. End of the vent. Freedom.
___
The others pulled them out the top of the vent when they couldn't stand to climb out the vertical part. They weakly growled at them all in response to the gasps about how bad they looked.
___
The floor was really close to their face. Huh.
___
Waking up in a former enemies base is never a fun experience, especially when injured. Defenceless.
___
They hated the looks on the faces of the others - pitying and soft. They could kill them all if they wanted.
But they didn't. Sometimes, they supposed, it was ok to accept help.
Even if they did hate their guts.
___
Even though they had fucked all these guys over many times, put them in danger and made their plans fail, they were helping them. They saw what they had been put through by their old organisation, and had accepted them. Rough edges and all.
___
Maybe being safe was ok.
