Sid stood near the candy bar, She grabbed a handful of chocolates and slipped them into her bag. She kept one in hand and unwrapped it. “This dance seems better than anything we had during high school in Kentucky.” She plopped the candy into her mouth and chewed. “One time, this dude snuck a chicken into a school dance and it tried to eat all the cookies.”

                   of course she was one for dramatic entrances. show up on                    valentine’s day dressed to the nines for a party. what was that                   about being here to keep an eye on things for shield? meg was                   here to party. “hey--- hey darling,” the body closest to her was                  grabbed, the woman’s eyes sparkling as she grinned up at the other.  “let’s dance, huh? we’re both too pretty to be alone here.”

         ❝ alright here’s the plan. you and me hit the dance floor and then we raid what’s left of the candy.❞   lyra explained as she made her way over to where most of the wall flowers were. she chose to focus on the whole having fun part of the dance instead of the love part. it made it much easier to be in a good mood and actually want to stick around.

Klara decided to stay at the dance, even after talking with Lorna. She knew that most of the people her age were here, and that it was a normal thing to do. Even if she didn’t know how to do it. People seemed to be... moving to the music, and talking loudly, and drinking something. Fun. Or so she was told. It was all a bit overwhelming to try on her own.
