To the land of wolfs and hunting

Anna sat in the parking lot of her new school, in her new city, staring unhappily at the conjoined buildings, and wondering what she’d done to be sent two states away to finish off her Senior year. When she’d pulled into the parking lot earlier, it didn’t go unnoticed to her that the large, blue Ford her dad had giving her was not only the oldest, but also the largest. ‘Great. Just another thing to make me stand out,’ she had thought to herself as she pulled the truck into an open spot, unaware that they were assigned to different students.
Checking the time on her phone, Anna decided that there was no sense in prolonging the inevitable. She gathered up her backpack, made sure she had lunch money, and exited her truck. As she started for what she assumed was the main entrance, she took note of the warmer weather, and was regretting her multiple layers.
