also i LOVE them acknowledging that grover was annabeth’s protector first. that they already have a friendship. that knew each other for years and annabeth grew up with him around long before percy entered the narrative. it’s one of the biggest things i wish was acknowledged more in the tlt book

and the way annabeth keeps saying “your friend” to grover when she and percy are fighting. my girl is jealous i can feel it. she wants grover to take her side so bad

honestly its my headcanon that when grover left for months and came back with a close friendship he’d never had before annabeth was jealous as hell
