Varric isn’t a dwarf to fall in love easy. He scarcely falls in love and only has three times in his life. He can feel romantic feelings towards people but never has it reached the point of love.
When he does fall in love it isn’t anything romantic like he writes. It’s just a sudden sure feeling to where all he can do is nod and accept it. He isn’t one to play around; he’ll confront the person he loves and tell them just that. He’d rather spend time with them than tripping over his own feelings

With Varric’s and Anders interaction in DA2 there’s no way Varric would just be pissed bc of the Chantry incident. If Varric can forgive and be one of the few to support Blackwall when he confessed (at least in my canon), he’d forgive Anders no doubt. With the circumstances leading up to it sure he’d be a little mad but not a “DAMN THE MAN TO HELL” kind.
Plus in the Inquisition he’s literally surrounded by the Chantry influence and support for it. Him being the black sheep and supporting Anders might not have seemed beneficial or safe at that. Also being associated with the events of Kirkwall he’d be snatched up and interrogated again about what happened.
I know that Varric knows where Anders is. Without a doubt. He’s probably writing letters to him while Anders is under a false name. During the 2 year break he’d probably check in on the guy and make sure he’s doing well.
The Kirkwall gang is family. Varric doesn’t abandon family. They can annoy him to hell and back but never would he turn his back on them.

Panicking will only make it worse and make people paranoid and they’ll make others paranoid and it’ll spiral out of control.
People also forget that while tumblr may have a seemingly large rp community it’s not it’s main audience. This is a blogging platform; that is it’s priority. Appealing to those who use it for blogging matters. Rping came as a subcategory and tbh I highly doubt tumblr staff even knows about it or cares much for it.
