for those who are complaining that they’re stuck and “bored” at home, just be thankful and respectful for those who don’t get a choice working from home and risking their lives and saving our lives every second of the day. if you’re so bored, actually do something! while we’re all being quarantined for 3 weeks or so, take this perfect opportunity of free time to work on a hobby or a special project you’ve neglected for years/months. start cleaning your room or house that you’ve been meaning to tidy up but never got a chance to. instead of having the urge to always reach for your phone because of boredom, hang out with your family and laugh. play some board games or wii sports. read a book. write a story/poem. create what you always wanted in your head. listen to your heart and what it desires most. your passions, wishes, dreams...they all mean something and they’re important to you. they are what drive your purpose in your life. never forget that no matter however of a small or big role you think you play in this world, your existence matters. be kind to everyone and to yourself. find beauty in the smallest things. for the smallest things can lead to your biggest, brightest ideas of innovation and inspiration. the world needs us right now and that means for us to be our true selves and do what we do best in our strengths. no need for comparison because everyone has an important role.

People apparently didn't know rabies "really was that bad"

And I wanna ask how the hell do people not fucking know this, if only from seeing how Old Yeller ends*, but then I remember a whole generation has grown up with anti vax bullshit** being treated like a legitimate scientific opinion :|

*Speaking up, per one of the threads I reblogged, rabies can apparently be spread if you take a headshot of the infected animal via the vapor of the brain matter...which I actually didn't know.

**a vet friend of mine says this anti vax shot is getting passed down to pets too and just...look, your dog isn't gonna develop autism if you skip his shot, but he could possibly pass down parvo to your new puppy who is too young to get vaccinated.

And also, if your pet is bitten by a rabid animal, there is no megadosing vaccine for them as far as I'm aware, and the only way to tell at that point short of waiting for symptoms to develop is to put the dog down and test them. Either way, not keeping up with the rabies vaccine is setting them up for a death sentence.

Does anyone know how I can recover a saved tumblr response from the mobile app?

I just wrote a long CB essay, but because I wasn't on my computer I couldn't tag it accordingly. I tried saving to the drafts, but I only got the option to post. I then tried clicking the back arrow to see if I could change the options to save to drafts and I got the message discard or save. I clicked save, and now I can't find the post. I went into the drafts, where I assumed it might be. And not surprisingly it wasn't there. This is annoying AF, because I put a lot of thought and effort into this essay for it to be gone. I would rather not have to redo it, but will if I have to I suppose. Anyone know how I can recover it, without having to rewrite the whole essay?
