Good evening to you! 🥰 I received my Save the Children Sponsor Kit today! 🙏🏼 The child I chose is Roubaha, is 10 years old and lives in Niger. I have been learning more about her, and the home of her Country. There are parts of Niger that are actually the poorest in the Country! 😐 With the poorest population of 3 million +, it’s also one of the highest birth rates. Did you know that an average of 8 children are born to each mother! Because of the rainy season; school for children here start in October or later. The schools don’t last through the rainy season, as they are made from grass and sticks. They need to be built every year. Women (95%) are usually the most illiterate, with Niger being one of the lowest in literacy in the world! 📚 My sponsorship will help programs for Roubaha; water and hygiene at school, a protected school environment, and child friendly schools. 🏫 More is being done to provide the latrines (necessary to keep the water clean), as well as access to soap. Measures are taken to prevent Malaria (spread from mosquitos), by also providing nets. This also is one of the leading causes of death for these poor children in this area. 🙏🏼 I’ve got my own occasional difficulties, including health issues-but I still want to Give Back! 🙏🏼 I often take for granted that I have soap & clean water, and remind myself how many children don’t always have this each & every day! 🧼 Who will You Sponsor today? ❤️ For more information to Sponsor and choose your child; check out @savethechildren 👩👦. #blessthesechildren #savethechildren #childrenofniger #imasponsor #signuptohelp #givecleanwater #accesstosoap #feelinggratitude #sponsorachild #rightstoeducation #blessed (at Aurora, Colorado) https://www.instagram.com/p/B4rRY7mJ83p/?igshid=1gyao27lhnqx
