Unfinished work. Failed Freedom. “Each strip includes a handwritten lyric by Rumi about freedom. I wanted to represent the notion of purity and remaining true to oneself by using such transparent paper. However, after spending a lot of time cutting, writing and gluing, it failed. The tracing paper chosen was too tick and inflexible. I tried different ways of installation but nothing helped. The good news is that this lesson resulted in the creation of another artwork by using slightly different material and form of installation.”
Now this was pretty cool. The concept was, choose a colour representing one of the Sustainable Development Goals and throw a splash in the canvas. Take action, make a difference. #sikka19
