Despite seeing the elixir V’s never taken it himself. In fact the mere thought of the action is daunting enough. He’s seen what it does to the Believers, maybe not firsthand, but he’s watched them pass through the halls after taking their dose. Their attitudes were less than desirable and a bit frightening, but not for the matters that one might think. To the former photographer it scared him to know what it was doing to them. Everyone in Magenta was mostly plucked right off of the streets in one way or another with promises of a happier life. A given vow of a place where pain could only touch you for a few seconds and then relief would find you through salvation all because of the Savior. Though V knew that this wasn’t a paradise and had every intention to do anything in his power to stop it.
Unfortunately the task seemed to be a lot harder than he anticipated. He’d only been sneaking into the building for a few months now picking up on various aspects to make himself blend in better, but it also meant that the organization was progressing further. They’d already claimed another innocent victim dragging her in and sending her into the RFA’s messenger, and he knew that the elixir would soon follow suit as it always does. Knowing that they’d try to coax her into drinking it made a bit of panic rise in his chest. In whatever way he could he had to prevent that from happening.
With a deep breath he walks around the outside of the building making sure to keep his head low. The only time he looks back up is as he hears more footsteps besides his own. It takes him a few seconds with his sight, but he comes to recognize her face. He’s never spoken to her personally and he isn’t sure what team she’s a part of, but he has seen her around and maybe she knows something, anything, that could be of use to him. A bit hesitant now he steps forward as he gives a wave of his hand trying to catch her attention while he tries to keep his voice firm.
“Have you heard anything from the Savior about that new girl and her induction?”
