“Oh, wow,” Wanda breathes, a little bit in awe as she watches the progression and regression of veins through skin so delicate it’s almost completely translucent. She has to use some serious self restraint not to reach out and touch him; that would definitely be inappropriate without asking first, and she’s too awkward to ask.

Glancing up at his face again, she smiles and shakes her head. “Mine hurts, sometimes, but in a different way. It’s all in my head.” A gentle tap of forefinger to the offending brow. “One of my things is I can see alternate realities in my mind, if I try hard enough. But I don’t have much of a filter, so it all just kind of dumps in at one time, total information overload, I get a huuuuuge headache. Sometimes I forget where I am, too. Like—where as in which reality, I mean.”
