The biggest change made to his character and how different he is then compared to now.
//Aight so keep in mind that when I first made these kids, I was taking their Undertale bases (which existed first and foremost) and Fell-ifying them. I was making them edgier. I was corrupting their souls. I did my best to make it all make sense, but I still had ny end goals in mind, and for Steel, he originally was supposed to follow the trait of Cruelty. He was supposed to be a really nasty kid, an enforcer that Curo could count on because he did whatever he was told, especially if it meant hurting the problem kids. He was supposed to enjoy and get a thrill out of it, because he wasn’t the one getting harassed; instead it was these weak shits, and he was fine with and even relished it. That was the original plan at least.
//What ended up happening instead is the kid we see here now. We have a kid who’s trying to follow what his trait is supposed to be, but he doesn’t fit it at all. Sure, he’s able to do some things, especially when under threat of punishment, but he doesn’t enjoy any of it. He just… does it, like a robot following commands, and having a voice for himself feels awkward to him, and it’s something he sorta tries to not think about.
//Basically, we went from sadistic cruelty to a traumatized kid who just does what he’s told because that’s what he thinks he’s supposed to do. Otherwise he’s back on the bottom, or worse: He’s worth even less than that.

*Instead of saying anything, Hazel shrinks in on herself.

*She then pauses, seeming unsure.
🎶"Or my parents. Hm. Actually, my boyfriend's probably most accurate, though I haven't seen him in a while. Hunter's probably been busy in his timeline, what with being royalty and all-"
*Tasha then gets interrupted by a hug from Will, which causes her to sputter.
🎶"Huh-?!"
🎀"I love you!"
*...Huh. Seems that was Will's choice.
🎶"...Love you too."

💥"Really? This question?"
*Curo rolls his eyes.
💥"Fine. Whatever. As boring as it is, white's a nice color."

*Hazel chimes in immediately, followed by Tasha.
🎶 “Pink’s my favorite, and it’s the best color.”
🎶 “Blue of course though is a close second. Specifically ocean blue, like my shirt.”
📓 “Black, like my soul.”
*Edgelord.
📓 “Just kidding. I don’t care.”
🔨 “...I don’t... have a... favorite color...?”
*Steel seemed confused by the question, or maybe he’s just nervous in general. That was entirely possible.

*Huh. Guess Will’s free from the bind for these funky little asks now.
