Silent Lies
“I’m scared” he slurred out, still very drunk. “so am I, Matt” he replied looking at the half-fainted boy in his arms. “will you stay by my side forever, Liam?” Matt asked as if he didn’t already know the answer. “forever isn’t half the time I wanna stay with you, love,” Liam said while looking deep into Matt’s eyes. a hint of tears could be seen in the boy’s eyes. “don’t cry, Liam. I’ll cry if you’ll cry.” Matt said while bringing up his hands to the boy’s face to wipe off his tears. “these are happy tears, love” Liam lied. “really?” Matt asked, still not fully conscious. “yes, my love. really.” Liam said, knowing, that the boy won’t spot the lie in the state he currently was in. “I love you, Liam” Matt whispered, but enough for Liam to hear. “I love you too, Matt. I love you too,” Liam said, but Matt was already lost in his dreams.
