Star Darling Leona! Holy grail I never expected to own but here. she. is.
Thank goodness for factory rejects! She had some stains to acetone off and a cheek cut too deep to mess with. I’ll use the rotary tool on her molded undies so she can ‘almost sit’ like her sister Sage once I’m sure everyone is awake and ok with noise. I’ll redo her barrel curls if I eventually get the display space to have them upright and spaced out but for now I fingercombed out the knots and factory junk, re-rolled with curls into bundles using water then rolled it all up into an underbun so they won’t snag on anything or come undone. The sparkly vinyl parts have marbling and non-removable sprue marks, same with Sage’s body. Part of the tradeoff for metalic/sparkle bodies short of dipping them in easily scratched glitter/metal dips.
Glitter/shimmer toys = automatic heart eyes. I love dolls that represent parts of nature (like the fairytopia fairies Sunburst,Glee and Lumina).
These girls represent constellations but Leona is more obviously an avatar of a star like Trance Gemini from the TV show Andromeda (i could talk about that for a few hours so i’ll stop myself now)
Star Crew!! 💙💖💗💜🧡
Vega’s iridescence is blue tones, Sage has purple iridescence and Leona has gold shimmer. Scarlet has a very slight lilac leaning pink shimmer and Libby a pale beige shimmer with hints of pink.
Project’s still incomplete and i have some eyes on the way and some delicate colour matching to do but I am so excited!
