Week 14
Our group continued to gel this week. Looking back, especially in weeks 12, 13, 14 we start to read each other’s ideas with better clarity. We are able to synthesize all of our work quickly and without having as many meetings.
Looking back from the beginning of the class we have gone from curiosity to confidence in each other. The presentation landed in a good place and now we are all about refining.
And it is now distilled down to the critical pieces. We just figured out that the presentation could be reformatted to be ready to present sent to NextGEN. We are going to add some slides that unpack and explain why NextGEN need SilentSky, what we bring to the table in terms of communicating important issues and solutions to the community and policy makers and ultimately how we can partner in reducing noise pollution.
... Up until now in this Graduate work I have tried to be like water filling in anywhere that the team was lacking skills or interest. That has brought me to be scope cost estimates, code, research. But my personal career is centered around design and brand identity and advertising creation and production and some web development– my corner stone is conceptual print art direction. The purpose of this endeavor is to educate myself on the pieces that I am less trained and experienced in. However in this project it was really fun to find out that my graphic design abilities were needed and fit perfectly and meshed with the teams skill set. It is different and really fun to create outside of the corporate world and here are some further developments on that front:
