recently i’ve borrowed my friends earbuds because my airport vending machine ones broke after being left in the wash one too many times and i made a discovery

shitty earbuds like mine do not do justice to the music i’m listening to.

i was listening to 2 + 2 = 5 by radiohead and suddenly i heard so many new elements to the song i had never heard before and it changed my understanding of the song.

not only that the music enveloped me (if that makes sense). i could feel the bass in my bones and the drums on my skin.

so i guess the moral of the story is, if you value the quality of your music invest in quality earbuds because then you hear the version of the song the artist(s) wanted you to hear
