This is really nothing too serious to worry about. ” Alec didn’t know if he was talking about his injured hand that was still bleeding even though he already drew and iratze on his skin ( probably demon poison ) or the fact that Magnus was not even nearby to help them out. “ We have more important things to take care of…like finding Jace. ”

“You are currently the furthest thing from fine.” Honestly, what was he even doing? That looked like demon poison - they should be calling for the Silent Brothers, not putting a piece of tape over a gaping wound. He was clearly losing his mind. His injuries were both mental and physical at this point. All rational had left him. “You cannot find Jace if you are dying in some back alley. Sit down. Now.”

Jace remained silent. It had been months since he disappeared with Valentine and left no trace nor news behind other than thin leads and rumors of sightings that proved untrue. He might as well been dead,really. The things he witnessed...he wasn’t the same Jace that came back as he was when he left.

“If it matters to you, I tried to find a way to escape. When Valentine was too far away to reach you in an instant, I wanted to escape. But then...then again he has spies everywhere and I’d rather be dead than know he was going to hurt you” he spoke and only now looked up at Alec.

Tall,with a crown of tousled raven hair and that stone cold face that Jace knew all too well was hiding a turmoil of emotions behind. 

“I shouldn’t have come back....I’m putting you all in danger”
