Just a thought about the possible subtext of Hannibal's line "I wish my actions could have led to a different outcome" from episode two. We know that Hannibal warned Hobbs. I can only guess that the different outcome he wanted was for Hobbs to escape? Perhaps he was looking out for another in the brotherhood of cannibals? I don't know if that fits with his characterization in the books. Also, now in a weird way, he is taking over Hobbs's place in his daughter's life. Trying to be a better Hobbs?

Yeah, I can definitely see it being that he expected him to escape, and therefore not make it so easy on the FBI. But I don't think he did it to help out a fellow serial killer, and the call was almost mocking in a way. And this is what I also took from the "I am nothing like your father" line. I know it played to Abigail as "I'm not a killer" but I think in his own mind he was also saying that he's not that stupid. He doesn't have a type. He doesn't leave evidence. I think Hannibal believes he's better and above every other killer out there.

I'm basically optimistic at this point lol At first I was really skeptical, but then MC Harvey tweeted the picture and I figured he wouldn't tweet a picture of Rufus and mention him by his twitter if he didn't really have a twitter but he might not know it isn't legit either, who knows. If it turns out it's not him, I'll just delete that post, but if it is then I'll still have my thoughts there. :3 If I were 100% certain then I would've tagged it haha
