dude i so would, but i’ve been SO busy lately. i wake up at 8:30, leave the bed at 8:50, leave the house at 9, go to work, i’m back in town at like 7PM, 6:30PM if i leave a bit earlier to catch another train. I’m back home or at the hackerspace at like 7:30PM to work on some things and on good days even eat something. and then i have the problem that my computer is kind of not at home, but at the hackerspace hooked up to my HTC Vive as the VR machine (which might change soon tho). weekends are no-fun-allowed time, since i’m working on starting my own company with my best friend which currently means cutting bigass holes into thickass walls. things might get a bit better in october since i’ll only work part time from then on to study IT (i’m a pretty good sysadmin already and i’m starting my own IT company, but ayyyyy why not get dat degree too, amirite?)

So yeah, i’d love to play the vidya with you someday, but i might take a while till i’m ready to do that again :P

If I wanted to learn how to code/hack, where would you recommend I start?

the internetyeah i know it sounds dumb and dosen’t help at all, sorry

i’m a ghetto programmer, i learned what i know from trying to write things myself and a lot of modifying other peoples code to do what i want or fix bugs

same with hacking

what you should try is coming up with little tools you could write yourselfa little command line calculator, a tool that renames a batch of files for youthat kinda stuff

try starting off with a very simple programming language like python and try challenges like project euler as exercise (you will run into a wall pretty early there because it becomes harder and harder to understand the questions. it becomes more math than programming tbh)

there will also soon™ be a C++ tutorial by @ihearttech on i-heart.tech (sponsored by yours truly) which is proably gonna be pretty neat, but C++ is a lot harder than Py so you should consider getting the basics down before you switch to another language

you can also always come and ask me questions and i’ll do my best to answer them
