Realizing who it was, Mei-Rin chuckled. "I was afraid I'd have to break somebody's heart," she shook her head.

So the date had been set, everything prepared, and now the only worry was how not to make the bride and groom meet before the wedding. The solution was quite easy: until the ceremony, Mei-Rin was to stay in one room, while Adrian - in another. And while Mei-Rin had Elizabeth and Paula to help her, Adrian could use Bard's and Finny's help. 

Truth be told, those hours had run away really fast, and for they wanted to marry at midday, fifteen minutes earlier Finny came to tell the maid she should go down, to the ball room where the ceremony was to be held. In a simple, white dress, with a veil on her head, she looked really pretty. Even her glasses were taken off, for that one special day.

Now she was to pray she wouldn't stumble while walking down the aisle.

The raven looked at him in surprise before sharply looking away. “Don’t say things that aren’t true,” she muttered, “I am not adorable.”

Mei-Rin couldn’t believe it, but her reaction was a chuckle. “I wouldn’t have supposed, Adrian,” she teased before removing her apron and curtseying playfully. “I hope you like it better now.”

It was raining heavily, the red head being battered about as the gale ran through the narrow streets. Barely able to see in front of his face, he searched wildly for any escape from the storm.

A light shone dimly through the raging gloom and he made straight for it, not even stopping to knock as he found a door and pushed his way inside, quickly shutting the wind and the rain out.

Turning, he leaned up against the closed door, pulling his rain splattered glasses from his noes and trying desperately to clean them off on his sodden clothes. Peering, with blurry vision, about him, Grell tried to ascertain where he had landed himself. Something seemed familiar about the musty smell of the place.
