Russian-born artist Vlada Krukovskaya doesn't wear makeup; she wields it. Her face becomes a canvas, an act of defiance against the sanitised standards that beauty culture worships. To describe her work as bold would merely be an understatement. She subverts the idea of beauty as 'soft', 'palatable', and 'perfect', instead indulging in looks that are loud, unfiltered, and volatile.

Each ensemble of hers feels like a confrontation, an intentional push against the limitations of what beauty can hold. Her artistry flirts with the line between allure and brutality, while simultaneously filtering it through irony. Each mark she paints carries intent.
