The way out

      Nothing ever turns out how it's expected to.  Things change, life surprises you, and for a Seer, this was more than a little distressing.  He hadn't anticipated Sam asking him to leave his job and move in with him, he had never expected to wind up happy in love with a man that could not only protect him but could maybe chase away the demons in his head.

      But he still had to quit.

      The second client was the trouble one.  In the past they had agreed upon the use of airway restriction in the power exchange, and Ian was used to the feeling of a hand around his neck, just enough pressure to make him dizzy and aware of his position, but never enough to make him uncomfortable.  This time was different, the conversation on this being the last session had come first, and anger had seeped into the man in control.

      The pressure on his neck grew painful in time, his own hands moving up to scratch at the one around his neck carefully, and the first time he did so there was a murmured sorry and the pressure eased up, but the second time the fingers around his neck constricted in a different area, and left Iris rasping.  Dull nails sink into the skin of his clients hand, and for a second time, he apologize and moves his hand away.

      The third time, Iris wasn't that lucky, the restriction remained until his head felt like it was about to burst, until his eyes rolled back and unconsciousness took him.  When he comes to it was easy to see that the client had panicked when Iris stopped responding, had let go and only left once cleaning him up and putting him beneath the blankets.  Double the payment settled on the bedside table with a glass of water, some lukewarm Tea, and an apology note.

      The damage was noticeable, rather obviously bruises from fingers rather than a mouth, a small rasp to his inhales and a little cough when he exhales, and a spreading blue green around the expanse of his neck.

      Done.

                Finally done.
