The Peace dollar was designed by Anthony de Francisci and was made as a commemorative to celebrate the peace at the end of World War I. The obverse features Lady Liberty wearing a diadem of spikes, in a similar style to that seen on the Statue of Liberty. The reverse shows an eagle perched on a rock with a laurel branch. Rays of an unseen sun emanate from the lower right. Silver symbolizes reflection and light which makes it useful for drawing positive energy.
