i'm starting my secondary animal crossing island over!! because i got the legend of zelda itch something BAD and realized i wanted to do that.... SO. i'm making hateno!

I flipped this map of hateno to be vertical. and I'm gonna follow this pretty closely!

i'm gonna go for a river mouth on the left and bottom right

and preferably, i would like to have the town square kinda close to where the hotel is.... that's the big thing is getting the town square with the right river mouths. I'm gonna try and get the town square pretty far back from the airport...

and then i'll either make nook's cranny or the able sister's shop the ancient lab, and the other will be where the shrine would be

and i'll put my house where link and zelda stay

i'll spread it out a bit since. you know. big island

i know the ocean in game is kinda to the right of the lab, but I'm going for the pier on the left since my main island has it on the right

but realistically the only thing that matters is getting the rivermouths and the town square

I don't know how far back the town square can be though. that might be the roughest part.

I'm trying to get one of each personality type, with only two doubling up. Unfortunately Smug and Jock immediately took those spots since Goose looks the most like a Cucco, and I just think Julian being the Lord of the Mountain from Satori Mountain is hilarious.

I do have a Skye Amiibo card, but I get her surprisingly often, so I'm leaning more towards Ione? She's a squirrel, but none of the bunnies seemed like they fit a Blupee...

Reneigh looks the most like epona imo (since you can't get epona!! she's stuck in new leaf!!! it would have been convenient if she was in new horizons because damn it, she's peppy!!!). However Phoebe is very eldin ostrich coded. and if I get reneigh, I'm going to have THREE horse villagers.

Both Victoria and Winnie are peppy horse villagers. I think I'd be fine with either, but Again. Lots of horses. And I'm not like. overly fond of either of them. Wendy doesn't really look anything like the highland sheep in botw, but I didn't really think any of the sheep looked like a good match unfortunately, and Honestly. Kinda leaning towards her now that I'm typing this out lol.

If I go Wendy, I think I'm leaning towards Reneigh then, since Hateno is obviously pretty far from Eldin Volcano, which is where the Eldin Ostrich is. And I think I'm leaning towards Ione as my Normal Villager, mostly because she is very gorgeous. Bolding the choices I'm leaning towards rn.

My favorite for a LONG time as a teen was Riolu though, mostly because I loved the anime episode with the aura sphere riolu, the pokemon ranger, and that hunter j character. i reeeeally loved riolu for a long time because of that

i actually slept decently. like, my brain didn't keep me up for hours. maybe it was cause i took a shower before bed? i really should do that more often, i just. why is it so much effort to get into the shower.
