Damien stood in his new monstrous form. Staring at himself in a shop window. His wings spreading open and closed as he tried to get used to how they felt. He wondered how long it would last. What would happen if it didn’t wear off? Would people see him as a freak, or try to attack him? Fuck.

He sighed, ans opted to fold the large feathery wings against his body, protecting him from the cool and moist night air. Clouds formed overhead, it was bound to start raining soon. 

He turned to keep walking, only to come face to face with a stranger. His eyes grew wide for a second as he stepped back “shit- I- I uh- I didn’t notice- I didn’t see you there.”
