Negative Utilitarianism......
These are just some quick reflections on the ideas of Negative Utilitarianism, in relation to the "Benevolent World Destroyer" idea. Negative Utilitarianism is the idea that what matters is not creating more pleasure or well being in the world, but rather doing everything possible to eliminate human suffering. It was argued that if this position is taken, that if somebody could eliminate all human suffering by destroying the whole world as painlessly as possible, that they would be morally obliged to do so. Carl Popper wrote on this, and many philosophers have struggled with this idea. They have said that doing this would create pain by denying future generations the pleasures of life, or that after the destruction that life could evolve with more pain and suffering than if the destruction had not happened, etc. The arguments against the "Benevolent World Destroyer" that I have seen fail to convince. There is no doubt that if the world were destroyed that human and animal pain and suffering would be for sure ended, at least for now and maybe for millennia, and that would be a good thing, irrespective of whether life evolved painfully again or not.
When you look at the immense suffering of humanity as well as much of animal life who's suffering is compounded by humanity, there is no doubt that if the world were reduced to a barren waste with nothing left alive on it, it would be better than it is now with so much misery and agony, the proof of which is everywhere. So how would a "Benevolent World Exploder" go about actually bringing the world to an end?
Directly doing it would be impossible, it would have to be done by proxy, so how would it be done?
One way would be to let's say contact the Russian and Chinese governments, while disguising ones identity with proxy software like TOR along with a VPN connection to keep snoopers at bay. Then you could tell the Chinese and Russian governments that the USA has nukes pointed right at them, and is considering a first nuclear strike with cruise missiles to take out much of their territory. Then you could contact the US government and NATO, and say that the Chinese and Russians have nuclear weapons pointed right at the US, both strategic nuclear weapons and tactical nuclear weapons, and are planning a first strike to blow the US into the stone age, and NATO countries will be next.
You could tell Israel that their foreign aid is going to be cut, and they are going to be left to just sink on their own. This would destroy Israel economically and politically, prompting them to unleash their nuclear arsenal on the USA, etc. Israel has nuclear weapons pointed at every major country on earth, including the USA, and will obliterate the whole world should they go under. It is called "Project Samson" and they have threatened to use it. You could taunt world leaders online, saying that they are too cowardly to use nuclear weapons, that they do not have the guts to do so, where their enemies might to create the basis for a nuclear incident,etc. Also you could tell the Indians that they are the vehicles for Kalki Avatar, and they are fated to end Pakistan in a nuclear holocaust, or tell Pakistan that the Indians are infidels and Idol worshippers that need to be destroyed. You could imagine the effect, doing all of the above simultaneously. There would be some suffering from a global nuclear holocaust, but it would be better than the suffering of the world to go on endlessly. Who would do this? Are there such humanitarians in the world? Only time will tell.
