#simblr spotlight

There are a lot of Simblrs out there. Some of them are truly amazing, but are drowning in the tsunami of Sims blogs that pass the Sims tags every day. They deserve some extra attention to get the followers they deserve!

Every friday saturday I’ll be putting three Simblrs in the spotlight. I will mostly pick these Simblrs from @stories-simblr-list and from the sims 3/4 story tag. If you happen to know a Sims 3/4 simblr that you want to be in this spotlight please let me know by sending me an ask!

The only requirement of getting yourself into this spotlight is to have an active blog which means you need to post new original content at least on a weekly basis. Reblogs don’t count!

This week’s amazing Simblrs that deserve some extra attention are:

1. @lovelychooser

lovelychooser creates stories with both sims 3 (The hunt) and sims 4 (Blue Moon). She’s an amazing writer! Her stories resemble the real world (with some supernatural stuff added to it like werewolves and such) and she uses her sims to basically create a graphic novel. Her stories will capture you from the very beginning and are definitely worth some of your free time! Especially her sims 3 story deserves more attention than it’s getting now, so get to liking and replying you all!

2. @wannabecatwriter

Wannabecatwriter’s sims 3 story is a lot of fun! She really puts humor into her characters and makes them face a bunch of hilarious situations (including an old nerdy couple asking an arrogant vampire for a threesome). Her story gets updated very frequently so you always have something to read every day when following this blog. Wannabecatwriter posts a nice combination of pictures with short descriptions, posts with a bit more dialogue and sometimes episodes that are a bit longer and includ describing. It’s good to have variation! Great simblr. great story that brings a smile to your face.

3. @justkeeponsimming

Wanna witness a sim who has to start from scratch and has the goal to become THE perfect sim? Justkeeponsimming started a Perfect Sim Challenge a few weeks ago and is posting daily updates on her tumblr about the adventures of Poppy Cho, who aspires to max all the skills and complete all the aspirations. Meanwhile, it’s her goal to cause as much mischief in the Sims 4 world as possible! Poppy Cho is quite beautiful, so of course she achieves many of her goals that involve other sims. This challenge is fun and it’s different from most stories you see around here that are either graphic novels or are legacies and thus go through multiple generations. Poppy is also a very fun character with a big attitude, very well created by justkeeponsimming!

It does consist mostly out of Sims 4 simblrs though, so if you happen to know a Sims 3 simblr that you want to be in this spotlight please let me know by sending me an ask!

This week’s amazing Simblrs that deserve some extra attention are:

1. @brokesims

Brokesims has been entertaining the sims 4 simblr world with her Sullivan legacy since May and I can see, her pictures are a blast. She’s developed herself from being a simblr who posts pictures with short descriptions, to making great edits where she subs her screenshots with interesting dialogue. Her Sullivan family is fresh, happy and silly and it’s a great breath of air inbetween some of the very dramatic stories out here. It’s always nice to see someone’s legacy from the beginning and watch how they develop themselves in their screenshots and their way of storytelling. Brokesims is heading for a bright simblr future!

2. @rosiesimming

I’m going to admit my bias with this one straight away to get it out of the way. Rosiesimming is one of my friends here in the simblr community. I’m not a fan of favouritism and I try to pick unknown simblrs even to myself on purpose for this very reason, but rosiesimming absolutely deserves some extra attention because of her unique way of storytelling. She writes her sims story from multiple points of views which creates very in depth characters! Even a sim (read: Sam) who might seem like a true villian when you read about him from one POV, once you read his own POV you suddenly realize he’s only human after all. It’s very well done. Rosiesimming is a must-follow for everyone!

3. @futurecarrie

I bumped into this simblr searching the sims 3 story tag and I’m glad I did. This simblr is great! Futurecarrie provides us with multiple uploads a day. Her sims look very unique ( they are made by her readers which is a great idea! I love Elettra’s face! Elettra belongs to @twinsimskeletons ) and her story is exciting and filled with suspense. The story is an adaptation from the videogame franchise Danganronpa. You definitely need to start reading from the very beginning, so pick a weekend you got nothing to do and start with the prologue! Trust me, it’s worth it. I effectively avoided my studies reading this :D.

1. @paper-lioness​

This great Simblr started writing her Schmidt legacy six months ago and still provides us with new updates on a daily basis! I personally am not a fan of the Sims 4, but I gotta say, Paper-lioness does make the game look like a lot of fun. The writing style is great and so are the screenshots! You can start reading the entire legacy up to the most recent post by clicking this link, or just check out Paper-lioness' entire blog because she also has downloads and CC finds on there.

2. @hureuf

It’s hard sometimes to find a ts3 Simblr with unedited pictures. I admit I even slightly edited my Descendants of the Sun pictures to make them look just a bit more colourful or bright. But if you are looking for a Simblr that posts screenshots that have a 100% authentic look, look no further! Hureuf posts her a BC legacy (click here to read from the start) on a daily basis, providing us with the cutest pictures of her legacy that aren’t edited (or at least it seems that way) at all. Hureuf started posting her legacy back in december and is still providing us with updates, that’s great! 

3. @hyperkaos

First of all a warning this Simblr does contain some NSFW content. Now onto that what really matters: hyperkaos is a GREAT writer! The sims story on this blog has a great amount of detail and it has gotten as far as the third book already (click to read from the start). If you want to read a novel-like story with sims 3 screenshots to visualize it, hyperkaos is the simblr you need to check out. It’s hard to find simblrs who write as much as I do, since most people try not to overload their followers with heaps of text, so I’m truly glad to have found this amazing writer!

1. @plumboblures

I’ve actually been following plumboblures for a while already and I seriously love this simblr. This blog is actually not on Zietro’s list yet but it definitely should be. Plumboblures sims are very unique and they go through unique adventures that require a lot of creativity and imagination. The dialogues she writes for her sims make them truly alive! I’m personally a fan of her Edgy Ebism story because it makes use of Into the Future, an EP that I neglect so much that I don’t even load it anymore.

2. @kiwi-mint-simblr

Kiwi-mint-simblr has recently started writing her own sims story and what I loved to see was how she developed herself as a writer within such a short time. What started as short descriptions with her screenshots has now become a full-on story definitely worth reading! I really like simblrs who write dialogue for their sims, because it really transforms them from dolls into humans. kiwi-mint-simblr is great at doing this! 3. @neon-llama

Speaking of simblrs who write great dialogue, here’s another one!  Neon-Llama has some great screenshots to go with her dialogue of her story The Fox Among Us. Her entire story is just dialogue, which makes it really interesting. Her sims 4 sims actually look great and not out of place with the rest of the world, something I don’t say often about Sims 4 haha. Read her story from the start by clicking here!
