I've been looking at loading fixes and came across this reddit post and I wanna confirm that it works! Anything that needs loading: catalog, sims, CAS, objects, lots. It all loads much quicker and smoother. Essentially, you're editing your "Default.ini" file in your bin folder, (PSA: pls back up any file you plan on tinkering).
I followed the numbers given by commenter Xiberion1. Edit the file in notepad change the values to the following and save:
I did not touch anything to do with RAM or memory because I have an integrated GPU. If you are on PC I'm sure you can handle more. This is a very quick and easy fix that is worth looking into, the only thing this fix requires is knowing what specs you have and how to utilize it. Do with this knowledge what you will :)
A blanket of snow covers Copperdale High as all the students are away on winter break
I've been working on this school and the gymnasium/sports field lot for loooong time now. The outside is pretty much done. I'm working on the inside of both lots now and the basement, which has a pool and hockey rink. I'm pretty happy with the outside so far and it looked so pretty covered in snow, so I wanted to post it. It is built in North Bend, which I have envisioned to be a small logging town in Maine. I also conjured up some half-assed lore if you're into that, it's below.
The Baudelaire Estate - finished in 1825 - Originally built by the patriarch/founder of the town - Regnault Baudelaire, the eldest son of a timber tycoon hailing from Quebec. His father acquired a great deal of land in the Pine Tree State and entrusted Regnault to establish a town and expand the family's lumber empire. Several years later, while on business in Boston he met the beautiful Katherine O'Malley, the daughter of a high-ranking general. His kind eyes, rough-around-the-edges demeanor and Quebecois accent won her over and weeks later they were wed. It is told that Katherine was homesick, and Regnault was determined to bring a touch of Boston back to her new home in Maine. Rather than utilizing the abundant and towering eastern white pines that with which most of the town had been constructed, Regnault purchased and hauled bricks made in Boston to build this grand estate for his beloved Katherine. The home took five years to complete and in 1825 the Baudelaire family of five moved into the home. In the summer of 1842, a devastating fire engulfed the town and all that remained was the Baudelaire estate. The townspeople decided they should rebuild the town using mostly brick instead of timber which led to the town's nickname "Little Boston". In 1901, the estate was converted to a private academic institution by the Baudelaire's grandchildren and has been in operation since. Named Copperdale after the great copper valley mine just west of the town which was discovered shortly after the town was founded.
