they are perfect for each other. they are parallels to each other. they are both a spark that has gone out and left them feeling hollow. they are mirrors of each other just as much as they could be each other's solace.
fury feels vile and unlovable, but i think HEA would see so much beauty in her defiance and ability to stand up for herself, in the way she is able to speak her mind so confidently. having such a soft, kind person smile genuinely at her and tell her that she's not a monster would break her i think. she needs to have her face cupped in HEA's hands and cry. she NEEDS TO.
and fury wouldn't put pressure on HEA to act in any way she didn't want to--her own experiences have made her open and honest about her feelings in a way that is so refreshing to HEA. and i think her vulnerability beneath it all would speak to HEA too. they're both hurt in a quiet sort of way, despite it all. her strength isn't never-ending, but neither is her suffering. fury needs a release and someone to truly depend upon just as much as HEA does.
MAN I JUST NEED THEM TO HOLD EACH OTHER AND SAY IT'LL ALL BE OKAYYYY I NEED THEM TO LOOK AT EACH OTHER'S WOUNDS AND UNDERSTAND IN A WAY NO ONE ELSE CAN
(also smitten (in shadow form) is...there too LMAO. he thinks theyre both wonderful but after everything w HEA is too weak to--and at this point, doesn't want to--control the situation. he's happy for them and happy to be there for them as a quiet part of HEA.)
