hi iterator cosplayers. i have found out a way to do the wires. it’s i-cord time.

i-cord is a tube made by knitting OR crochet, and there’s a bunch of tutorials out there on how to make it. i wanted my wires to be nice and chunky so i got bulky weight yarn.

the crochet method is cursed but it works well once you get the hang of it! i change my grip to where i’m holding both the hook and the yarn in my right hand and the project in my left hand so that i can hold on to the hanging loops easier. it’s goofy. see what works for you or just get double pointed knitting needles or something. i swear it’s real easy once you get in the rhythm.

currently my method for attaching the wires is to put them in a bobby pin and pin them to my hair, then put the helmet on. it’s… tricky but i’m working on seeing other ways of getting it on.

they’re soft and squishy and it’s really fun.
