Hi! If ur not too busy can you point me to where zayns first album is tied to simco?
it was removed almost immediately (once they saw people had noticed it), but the original posting of pillowtalk on itunes showed it was licensed to simco, and if the single was licensed to them you can pretty much bet the whole album was too
Cold, processed air blasted into the high-rise office. ZuzuCity bustled below the building’s wide windows, a beautiful day painting themetropolis with its sunlight, its soft, warm breeze pushing through the citystreets like water rushing through a metallic delta. The office’s cold air waspaired strongly with its décor – the room was large, clearly the space ofsomeone important. The door was wood, a deep red colour, same as the couchpressed up against the wall opposite that stunning view, and the large deskpresented perpendicular to the door.
Three people sat at that desk, adorned with pens and paperand general office clutter. The sound of skin shifting on clammy leather wasthe only noise other than the soft whir of the air conditioning unit. Jennashifted in her chair, it’s back fitted perfectly to give her somewhere to resther head.
“I would like to make something clear to thepair of you...”
The pair opposite Simmons looked at each other nervously, their emotions infecting the air with an uncertainty. They too shifted in theirchairs – much less grand than Jenna’s own – though out of anxiety over comfort. The pair didn’t look out of place in the office – the man, probably in his mid-forties,had dark, kept hair, toned red and silver, his age showing not only in his hairbut in his face. His skin was weathered, lines and blemishes marked hisfreckled face, his skin darkened with time in the sun. Despite his evident age,he was well dressed – dark blue jacket, expensive dress shoes, a patternedpurple tie. The worry in his face, however, overshadowed his aura ofauthenticity.
The woman next to himlooked younger – late thirties or early forties – seemed much less collected.Tears welled in her brilliant blue eyes, long dark brown hair falling to herwaist, as she dabbed softly and frequently at the corner of her eyes. She toowas dressed nicely, not in workplace garments, but in a beautiful, red daydress. Her fair skin clearly was not used to this sort of creasing, her roundcheeks bright red from the overflow of emotions.
Jenna sat forward, her eyes dead cold, no hint of emotion asshe rested her elbows on her desk. “I’m in charge around here now. There’s a new pecking order. Would you like tohear it?” The crying woman shook her head in exasperation, and the man placedhis hand on her thigh with a soft muttering. “Yes,” he paused, clearlyuncomfortable with the following concession, “Miss Simmons, we would like to be informed.”
“Great, I’m glad I have such understanding employees. Here’sthe new pecking order.” Jenna stood up, pushing her corporate throne back, looking down on her subjects. “It goes me,” she paused for emphasis, beforecontinuing. “The board, the managers, the employees, the janitors, thecustomers, the dirt they walk into the store, and then you. Do you understand, Arthur?”
The other woman was sobbing now. Jenna stared down Arthur, who shot out of his seat. “We’re just asking you reinstate our credit cards,Jenna! Is that so much to ask for, Money to live on!? We built this company, wemade this, we made you, we’re yourparents, for Yoba’s sake!” His desperation rocked his voice, usually cool andcalm become fiery with rage and passion. Jenna sat back down in her leatherthrone, slightly slouched, her fingers steepled on her desk.
“It doesn’t matter what you used to be. Now, you’re nothingmore than worms. Worms that need to be crushed.” Arthur trembled, and Jordanwept. They had been usurped, betrayed, and now starved out by their owndaughter. Jenna pressed a button on her landline, buzzing security.
“Conrad, if you’d be so kind to escort Mr. and Mrs. Simmonsfrom my office.”
Jenna watched with glassy blue eyes as her parents werecarried out, kicking and screaming bloody murder. She barely reacted as theybegged, as they spat insults, as they swore revenge. The outbursts weren’tworth her time. Why should they be? They couldn’t even hold onto their empire. If couldn’t even predict that the girl they raised with the ambition of anempress and the means of a small country would come for them, well, then theywere simply too stupid to pay anyattention to.
No, Jenna Simmons, the new CEO of SimCo, had bigger plans.
It is finally here. The debut of Camila Cabello. After pushing the album back for a few months she finally released the album. A smart move after the huge succes of the Pharrel-produced smash hit ‘’Havana’’. Currently at no.2 in the Hot 100. Now all she needs are a few more gems to complete a good album. She wanted to make a personal record and you definitely hear that back on this record. Her latin roots are coming back in most of the songs. Her unique voice suits this kind of music very well.. You can hear she (co)-wrote a lot of the songs and I can only say I am very proud of what she has delivered. It was the best thing for her to do, to leave Fifth Harmony. The album has a lot of up-tempo feel good songs and she is serving us some slow touching ballads as well. But Camila 10 songs are not enough, we need some more. Where is ‘’I have questions’’? I loved that one! The next album needs more songs! I can’t wait for the future to watch her grow even more as an artist.
Best songs:
‘’Consequences’’ A touching ballad she wrote herself. ‘’Loving you had consequences’’ she is singing over a beautiful piano melody. It is a vulnerable song and she is showing of some nice vocal skills in a high falsetto. She got me with this song.
‘’Into it’’ A sexy uplifting song. She sings about all the stuff she wants to do when she is ‘’into someone’’. Go for it Camila.
‘’Havana’’ I have heard this song so many times. It is great and refreshing. The first time I heard it I knew this was going to be a smasher. I was rooting for her and she did it. The Pharrel-produced song is the stand out on this album.
The worst songs:
There are some actually. Well they are not terrible, but just kind of average.
‘’Real friends’’ I just don’t feel this song. It is boring to me and the lyrics are average. We have heard a lot of these songs before and it is definitely not as catchy as a lot of the other songs. I felt where she was going but it doesn’t work for me.
‘’Inside out’’ I saw her live performances of this song and I didn’t like it. And I still don’t like it. It is going nowhere and is a simple teen song. She could have done better and should have scrapped this song. The lyrics are basic and I can hear she is not feeling it herself.
THE VERDICT:
My girl Camila delivered a great debut album. I am proud of her for following her dream and staying true to herself. It is a brave and smart move. A lot of Latin influences are to be heard and the record got me dancing in the shower. I don’t think any song is better then ‘’Havana’’ and I was actually hoping for that. It is pretty tough to follow up to that one. But she delivered and she made the record she wanted. Ballads and some fun songs that are suiting her quirky personality and voice.
