“Hello, Shera!” Simba greeted the woman at the front desk of the Sheriff’s Department as he entered, unzipping his coat. “How are Tony and Marleen?”
“Morning, Simba. They’re well. Marleen is home with the flu. Tony is taking care of her. We’re going in shifts. Tony already has it, so we’re hoping that makes him more immune.”
“Gosh, that’s rough. I’m sorry. I hope she feels better soon, poor thing!”
“Thank you, I’ll pass it along, I’m sure it’ll make her day.”
“Pfft, hardly,” Simba said, but he blushed a little.
“No, really, we didn’t stop hearing about the fact you weren’t helping with the Nativity play this year for weeks.”
Simba ducked his head. “Next year, yeah?”
“You should. The kids love you. Anyway--you’re hear to see the Sheriff, yeah?”
“Yup!”
“I’ll give him a ring, feel free to take a seat.”
Simba nodded and waved goodbye, going to sit in one of the indicated chairs. He stretched his legs out and took a breath. He needed to be calm, cool, and collected going into this.
He needed to be #chill.
It was just that--this was a very...not chill situation for him, unlike the other members of the board. He was close to this. It was personal. And, he hoped, if anyone was going to understand that. It was going to be the Sheriff. Man, he missed Copper. He didn’t know this new Sheriff at all. But, if Copper had picked him, he couldn’t be that bad right?
He rubbed his palms on his knees and leaned forwards, taking another breath.

Simba + Eddy = ???
I’ve been seeing Simba paired up with E.co and Prince Mak, but what about Eddy? They’re usually conveniently next to each other during fanmeetings and press appearances, and Eddy seems to like leaning on Simba when he’s embarrassed. And Eddy is pretty much splitting leader responsibilities with Simba, being the group’s linguist. It would be a great dynamic of Eddy being no-nonsense and Simba being almost scarily laidback. And sometimes vice-versa.
If I could just figure out the ship name. SimDy? SimEd? Should we be using their real names?
