Beatrix is an all around good girl, and has taken on a motherly role since her mother passed. She lives with her little Sister Josie and her Dad Steven in Willow Creek.
She LOVES bumble bees, gardening and reading... but especially bumble bees. She hopes to one day own a shop of her own where she can sell honey, and other produce she can make.
Week 1 Day 2 - Dawson
Greg woke up early in the morning, and decided that he’d tend his garden before making breakfast, to see what kinds of fresh herbs and ingredients he could use that day. There had been a thunderstorm during the night that had continued into the early morning, and a lightning strike had hit his picnic table in his backyard, and he unfortunately had to dip into his savings to replace the lost table.
Greg made a grand breakfast and unfortunately it took up a lot of his morning time, because even though he had asked Craig to help, Craig opted not to. Greg went to work hungry, and Craig got to eat the grand breakfast by himself.
Craig started off his day by trolling the forums he frequented. He got a notification that the GeekCon was in town, and instead of wasting away his day at the house, he decided that maybe getting out and getting some extra cash in a video gaming contest was exactly what he needed. He entered the Ultimate Gaming Test at the convention in the hopes that he’d get a good score. Unfortunately, he didn’t do well in the Ultimate Gaming Test, and he didn’t even pass with the minimum score.
Greg came home hungry, grungy, and a little tense, but he also came home with a promotion! At work he’d been promoted to being a wildlife technician, and he was more than happy that he had a day off the next day.
Week 1, Day 1 - Dawson
While Greg was at work, Craig took the opportunity of being alone in an empty house to blast some music and practice his dance moves. Even if Greg was insistent that he had to move out soon, that day wasn’t today, and he was going to have fun while he could.
Greg met Paula Garcia, Courtney Robins, and Keala Hoapili while at work. He came home from work extremely exhausted, so he was pretty glad that Craig had used at least some of his down time during the day to make a garden salad. The brothers ate dinner together, and then Greg went promptly to bed.
While he was asleep, a friend of Greg’s, Susan Monroe, stopped by to see Greg. Because Greg was asleep, Craig let her in and chatted with her instead. They didn’t have a very long chat, and Susan went home without ever chatting with Greg. Craig went to bed not long after Susan left.
The Dawson Household
Greg and Craig Dawson live at 101 Foundry Way in the Foundry Cove neighbourhood in Willow Creek. Greg is the oldest of the two brothers, and he takes care of Craig while Craig starts out on his own new path as a young adult.
Greg Dawson is non-comittal, loves the outdoors, and is active. He’s a land surveyor at The Observe to Conserve Foundation. He aspires to be the best outdoorsman he can possibly be. He likes handiness, fishing, and herbalism. His favourite colour is green.
Craig Dawson is self-absorbed, squeamish, and a dance machine. He doesn’t have a job yet, but he’s thinking he won’t get one until he moves to San Myshuno, which is his ultimate aspiration. He loves video gaming, dancing, and mixology. His favourite colour is purple.
Week 1, Day 9 - Bates
Emily woke up and grabbed a small snack before taking Kooper out for a jog. The stormy weather that had appeared late the previous night had cleared up, so it seemed like a good opportunity to get some of Kooper’s energy out. While they were out, it started raining lightly, so they cut the jog short and went home before a storm could form.
Since the rain didn’t look like it was going to stop raining anytime soon, Devon decided to bake some bread to pass the time. After she had some of the freshly baked bread, she did some laundry, played with Kooper, and kept writing her newest book, a short story book. The inspiration must’ve been flowing, because she quickly finished it, naming it “Widdershins Ballet and Other Stories”. She sent it out to be published, ate some dinner, and then went to bed.
Week 1, Day 8 - Bates
(Yeah, I know, Day 8. The way I like to play my games, I like to start on Monday at 12am and go through to the next Monday at 12 am. Unfortunately, the game started on a Saturday, so there’s going to be 9 days in this Week 1, and then we’ll get back to our normal schedule. Sorry for the bonus day confusion, but it’s the only way to catch things up!)
Devon woke up to Kooper wanting some serious attention, so she decided to devote her Saturday to playing with Kooper. After spending the whole morning just playing with Kooper at her house, she decided to treat him to a day at a dog friendly park.
After their excursion to the dog park, Devon took a nice long bath with soaks, and settled in for the evening to write another book. Her writing was interrupted, however, when Emily came over with a surprise for Devon! Emily had brought Devon a gift: orchid seeds for her garden. Devon planted them, and Emily stayed over to chat for a little while before going home. Once Emily was on her way home, Devon went to bed.
Week 1, Day 7 - Bates
Devon got up nice and early for work, and was able to have a nice breakfast that morning without having to rush. While at work, Devon found a juicy statement from a local politician that, when taken just a little out of context, could make a great column. She thought about just writing the column and hoping her readers agreed with her, but she considered that it would mean putting her own personal integrity on the line. She wasn’t about to stretch the truth just because it was a slow news day, so she decided she’d just wait until something more newsworthy came along. A few hours after she passed on writing the first column, an even better story hit her and she wrote a column that she was proud of.
Devon decided after work that she was going to celebrate Night On The Town with her sister, Emily. They went out to eat at Umbrage Manor, a very nice local restaurant. They had the best food they could get, since it was free anyway, and went their separate ways to sleep off their food comas.
