David shuffled around the Atlas statue, a common meeting place, periodically looking up from his phone to see if he could spot his cousin, Saroo. Saroo just got his provisional license so he was going to pick David up and drive over to the county fair in Sunset Valley... But Saroo was nowhere in sight... And David was sweltering. Suddenly, his phone buzzed and his eyes immediately darted down to see a rather unfortunate text. Saroo: Hey! Hit some stand-still traffic right before the exit, looks like an accident! Not too bad, thankfully. Going to be about 15 mins late though... David sighed, leaning back gingerly onto the steamy brick behind him as he wiped the sweat off his forehead. Maybe he could get some ice cream real quick... It was just down the street after all... David’s phone buzzed again, interrupting his thought. Clementine: I can see you. Confused, David bounced back up and spun around to pinpoint the strawberry blonde before shaking his head with a smirk. She often pulled this silly prank at the most inopportune times to get him to look around when she wasn’t actually there yet. He stopped falling for it a while ago... Well... When he was focused, he’d still fall for it from time to time. David: You got me this time, not gonna lie. Where are you actually? Clementine: No, I actually see you! You’re wearing that one shirt that makes you look like a sherbert. Bewildered, David scanned the area around him more closely before his phone buzzed again. Clementine: Look at the library window to the right... First floor. David looked up to see a very excited Clementine waving at him with her whole body pressed up against the window like a maniac. Wait, isn’t it the weekend? What on earth is she doing at the library? David quickly texted her and signaled for Clementine to check her phone. David: Can I join you? I’m dying out here and my ride is gonna be a while. Clementine: What’s the password? David rolled his eyes with a smile sneaking across his face as he responded to her text. David: I’m entering and you can’t stop me. Clementine: You’re no fun! Whatever the reason, he was just glad to get out of the sun and into some AC!
