"Hey, uh...” Harold called as he walked over to the familiar man. “Simon, right? Hope I didn’t get that wrong. How embarrassing would that be.” He laughed for a brief second. “We met at the hospital a few times... thought I’d stop and see what you’re like outside a sterile environment.”

Abbey didn’t know much about cars, (or anything about cars) but when she was driving home she knew something was wrong. It was a sudden thing, a very loud bang that had her jolting in her seat thinking a gun had gone off somewhere. There was an immediate change from fine to everything feeling wrong. Unsure exactly what the problem was and questioning the danger she might be in by continuing to drive, the blonde ran her fingers over the steering wheel and spoke to her little Fiat, “Come on,” She murmured, “Get me somewhere safe, I can’t stop here. Come on.” Everything feeling rubbery, she carefully slowed down, the car mostly doing it itself, and when she saw a layby she turned in and stopped the car.
Still uncertain, she jumped out the car as quick as she could just in case it had been the engine and it might light on fire. On quick glances, the problem was obvious. The tyre had exploded it seemed, the rubber shredded beyond repair. Groaning, she kneeled and looked closer, still shocked it had happened. Abbey held her hand up to block out the sun and looked down the road, she wasn’t aware she was going fast enough to do this.
Standing up once more, Abbey pulled her phone out her back pocket. She had a spare wheel in the boot, but she’d never actually changed a tyre and didn’t trust herself to do so. She scrolled through her contacts, and deciding that Nathan was off limits, decided to try getting hold of Henry, hoping that he wouldn’t be on duty and could help her out.
