MATERIAL GIRL
Clothes can make a person, and apparently, they can destroy a person as well. Most horror short films fail to capitalize on modern trends or theme. Thankfully, there’s times when I come across films like MATERIAL GIRL which explores greed and materialism through a fresh story that fits perfect with today’s audiences. Simone Stewart gives a solid performance that hooks you in immediately, and makes you wonder what exactly has happened to her character in the final moments, just based on her facial reaction. Kudos to the filmmakers!
