A newspaper was tucked beneath her arm as she settled into the coffee shop. She’d scrounged up a few coins to afford a nice morning in the crisp air. Though the shop seemed busy and crowded, on a full-stomach the dozens of hearts beating in her ears didn’t seem as drawing. Instead, she focused on the smell of milky coffee radiating from her cup and the information about the town’s recent happenings. “Excuse me, “ The blonde smiled at the woman she passed, the familiarity between her and herself becoming easier to recognize every day. “Do you mind if I take this seat, everyone seems to be enjoying the morning out today.”
