I saw today (December, 26 th) on the AFP media the article about the trial of the First lady of Ivory Coast (still the first for me and a lot of Ivorian people to not say the majority ). The first thing that struck me (disgusted me and pained me to the core of my soul) was the picture they used to cover up their article; no dignity, no pity, no consciousness was given to her,no respect whatsoever, to her rank, they used the most sad and humiliating image... What for ???? She was (for them) the first Lady of a sovereign Country (well at this time), consideration MUST have been taken to respect the woman, and the statute that she has, but no, she's just an African woman, so obviously Medias owned and instrumentalised by the so called Powers Of this world, won't take any measure to apply the honours due to her rank. When European or North American politicians are convicted or even when there is the slightest link to legal charges against them, they will do everything in their power to hide it the most possible, so that it won't reach the spotlights, or replace the news by something awful to divert this reality and make people look away from what's really going on and what should Concern them more. Thankfully I'm not full of hatred, but I sometimes understand the extreme side of Malcolm X, as it seemed that they only listen to violence and nothing less. Simone Gbagbo, you are my hero I've never been so proud to be an Ivorian woman, and I'll always be! We don't forget you, never !
