The Simpernaturals: Kevin’s Question

You already know the drill.......time to get this show on the road! 

Lexi, already upstairs, had laid out everything just perfectly. She had filled the cooler with wine and had glasses set out. She couldn’t wait to be with Kevin, to watch the stars come out, and to be able to snuggle with him in the silence of the evening. She sighed just thinking about it when Kevin came up eating something. 

“Hey there” he said and he took a bite

“You made yourself something to eat?” 

“I was hungry”

“And here I thought that you were doing some extra, last minute, chores” she smirked. 

“I was.....and then I got hungry” he said through another bite of food. 

“So......the tent is all made up, wine is cooling in the cooler, and mother nature is about to put on a fascinating show!” 

“Who needs Mother Nature’s show, when I have you to hold all night long?” Kevin said in a hushed, romantic tone that made Lexi blush. Looking around Lexi realized she didn’t see anything in Kevin’s hands but his food, his dress was the same, and so she got curious. 

“What did you have to do downstairs anyway?” she looked curiously. 

“You don’t make things easy......ha ha......lets sit out for a while.....”

“What do you mean by that?” 

“Wow! Its such a pretty evening, isn’t it?” he quickly changed the subject. 

“Yeah it is!” Lexi said as she poured herself and Kevin a glass of wine. 

“This is the life Lexi........you.......me..........the stars. Its just perfect! I wish life was just this simple” he said gesturing at the sky and all around him, “Mom is always pushing me into acting, just like Dad.......but I really don’t know what I want to do just yet”

“I know what you mean! I don’t know whether I want to go into photography or sing for a career......all I know is that I don’t want some boring desk job” 

“Lexi......” he then pulled her up to her feet and put his plate down on the ground, “Your light shines too bright for the mundane life around us......this is why I love you so much”. Lexi felt as though she was under a spell and couldn’t speak. So he took another deep breath and slowly got down on one knee.

“Lexi......I know that its only been a short time since we first started dating.....” he began and gulped. 

“But I can’t imagine my life without you in it, my love......” he pulled out the ring as Lexi gasped. Still, he went on, “Lexi Blackburn, will you do the honor of marrying me?”

“OH.....Oh my.......”Lexi breathed. The ring was just as beautiful as the words spoken, but surely not as beautiful as the man that was on his knees in front of her. She was absolutely out of her element and had to take a moment before saying, “Yes!! Yes I will marry you Kevin Hemsworth!!” 

“Oh Kevin, its absolutely breathtaking!! However did you get it?!” 

“Odd jobs here and there, but mostly from Mom.....” he smiled a brilliant smile. “After you and Kim talked to our parents, she was hooked. I couldn’t remember Mom being as happy as she was after you two talked. She gave us her blessing” 

At that, she pulled him up into a kiss. She was the happiest woman on Earth right now because she had a man that loved her......a family that cared for them both.......and a wonderful support system. If Kevin was just as happy as her, and no doubt he was, then Kim would be too. 

Jumping into his arms after the kiss, Kevin giggled. “I believe this is the part where we go hide in the tent for a few hours” he wiggled his eyebrows and Lexi laughed. 

The romantic night ensued with a lot of action, talking, planning out of what they wanted their wedding day to be like, and about the future of their family just starting out. The only lull in the bright talk of the future with each other was when they thought of Kim and her feelings. While Kevin worried over his sister, Lexi told him that it would be okay. That she’d never feel like a third wheel and that she’d find her happiness too. Time would only tell there though, but she said she wanted him to focus on them right here and now.

The Simpernaturals: Young Love

Good Morning folks! I did play some yesterday and so I thought that I would come back and share with you all. I have been away from this family way too long........all the simpernaturals got old on me! Yikes!! I hate it when that happens, but it gives my games freshness all at the same time. Anyway, on with the story!

When Lexi and Kim made it down the stairs one morning a couple of weeks after their talk about Lexi and Kevin, the grownups had turned around to see them coming. Apparently, to Kim and Lexi, they were on about the same old subject as they had been that day that Kim and Lexi talked things out. Some had a look like they were caught doing something revolting and the others had a “what did I do?” look. Kim had to giggle. 

“What are you laughing at?” Gamer asked Kim.

“Oh.......nothing........” she said trying to wipe the smile from her face. 

“She’s just happy” Lexi glared at Kim to cool it. 

“So, what’s going on? This looks like I walked into the middle of a ‘parent meeting’” Lexi observed.

“We all were just talking about things going on here” Gamer opened his mouth. Just then a foot, he didn’t know who’s, connected with his shin. “OW” he rubbed his shin. 

“Talking about what?” 

“Honey, sit down for a minute......” Bear said. She had no idea what she was going to say next. 

“Am I in trouble?” 

“Oh no sweetheart......” JB answered for Bear. 

“Then, what’s going on?”

“We just want to know what’s going on between you and Kevin these days, thats all.....”

“You DO live here, right? You DO have eyes......do you not?” Kim replied before Lexi could get a word out. She moved close to put her hand on Lexi’s shoulder. 

“Young lady, I do not recall teaching you to sass your elders” JB warned Kim.

“Some teacher....” she scoffed.”You really want to talk to me about sassing you when you just did that to me?” she raised her eyebrows. When JB decided not to answer her, Kim muttered under her breath, ‘thought so’. 

“We do have eyes and we do live here Kim, but we wanted to hear it from Lexi” Bear smoothed the wrinkles beginning to form around the conversation. “We thought it best that we get it straight from her rather than jumping to conclusions” 

“Which you have already done, so it seems”

“What do you mean by that?” 

“We heard you talking a couple of weeks back about her and my brother. Apparently, to you, they are already engaged to be married and one couple is worried about if my brother is good enough for Lexi” she scowled then at the thought. 

“Okay......Kim, sit down please” Gamer said. He was the man in the house now that Chris had passed some weeks back. The shock of his death still new to both Kim and JB. However, JB had been comforted by her dear friends and Kim took to Gamer and considered him just like a Dad. Gamer took it upon himself to try to fill those very large shoes in the process of things, so when Gamer spoke, all seemed to listen......most of the time. 

As Kim sat down, Gamer took a deep breath, “We did speculate, this is true honey. However, rather than speculation, we’d like to know the truth. Something of this nature is a very delicate thing. We all live here, we all love each other like family, and we all want to be happy. Thing is, Lexi’s romance......if it is one......with your brother could upend things. We know relationships are fragile things. You never know......”

“Isn’t that up to them though?” 

“Hey, wait a minute here........since when do I become a pawn in this instead of a person?” Lexi started heating up. 

“See? This is exactly what we are talking about here” Bear chimed in. “This......here.....what could be said or will be said could make or break this household! If Kevin said or did anything to you Lexi..........” she looked at JBs face, which looked like her blood level was beginning to simmer, “OR vice versa for that matter....it could make this house either a very livable one or an unbearable place to live” Bear finished making sure to exchange a look of ‘see? I know what Im talking about’ to JB who had taken a breath and calmed herself with a smile toward Bear. Bear nodded at her silent apology. 

“So, Lexi.....we want to ask you.......are you and Kevin going out?” Gamer asked. 

“You guys worry way too much! However, if it will help this whole situation, I will tell you.....” Kim glared at Lexi for a minute before she went on, “Kevin and I have been dating for a while now. He is my boyfriend, we haven’t yet kissed for the first time yet, but we are together. I have asked Kim’s permission to go ahead and keep seeing him because after all, Kim and Kevin are very close. What hurts one hurts the other.........same goes for any other emotion. So I would never do or say anything to hurt either one.” she took a deep breath then. 

“Wow......Lexi, thank you. I know it really isn’t any of our business, but its good to know that you love my son in that way” 

“I really do JB......I love him with my whole heart” at that Lexi brightly smiled, looked at Kim. To Lexi, she couldn’t tell whether Kim was happy or not or just plain astounded that she actually explained herself like she had. Probably, she deduced from the look on her face, she thought that Lexi shouldn’t have given them that. That it wasn’t their right to know......but to Lexi, it was. 

After that, the day seemed to move on........at one point, both Kevin and Lexi were taking in some fresh air outside. 

“You know what?” Kevin asked.

“What?” 

“I sure do love you a whole lot” 

“I do too” she breathed.

“I still can’t believe you told them that we hadn’t kissed yet when we have” Kevin giggled. 

“I had to give them something.......if I had told them that we kissed, then they would probably be in there at some point probably planning our children’s names!” she laughed.

“Children?” Kevin asked. 

“Well.......I......I.......” just then Kevin had kissed her deeply and giggled against her lips. 

As they parted, Kevin mused, “I love it when you get flustered like that” 

“Shame on you mister........” Lexi couldn’t put a finger on what was happening here. She knew Kevin to be somewhat of a straight shooter, he clearly was bewildered at the conversation, and yet the clarification was yet to happen. That is, if it ever happened. Kevin shrugged as if he didn’t think he ought to be ashamed. 

They decided that they ought to go back inside because there were things that they each wanted to do in the time they spent outside of job searching. It was time for them to enter the workforce, yet Lexi had no idea what she wanted to do. She was told she sang really well.....mused about being a rockstar......while Kevin sighed and kicked at the thought of his Mom telling him he ought to follow in his Dad’s footsteps. 

Just inside, in the family room, Kevin stopped her. “So......what was it that you really meant about children?” 

“Oh.....just that I want children if I ever got married”

As smile crept across Kevin’s face for a flash and then it was gone, “Oh....yeah...cool” 

Again, Lexi had a sneaking suspicion that something was up. She wanted to ask, but instead she asked, “Do you want to go have some fun upstairs in the tent?” she giggled. Kevin agreed and they could hardly keep the excitement down around the others. 

“Tell you what honey.....you go up and get things set up for our romantic evening.......I’ll be with you shortly!” 

She passionately kissed Kevin after everyone around them dispersed into various rooms and sighed, “Don’t keep me waiting.......” a sly smile crossed her lips as she slid a strap down her shoulder. 

Just then, she took her phone out and snapped a picture of her and Kevin in this moment.......so full of love they could burst! Kevin giggled at it saying that he needed a tux next to her cause he looked like a bum, but Lexi turned to him and said, “you look perfect to me” and kissed him again, a lump forming in her throat. 

Then, again, before putting her phone away, before Kevin could turn around, she snapped a candid of Kevin.

Lexi then parted from Kevin to get things set up upstairs while looking at the photo she just took. He was deep in thought, a smile......secretive and knowing.....was on his face. She wondered what that meant. Sighing to herself, she figured that she’d know in time as she always did with him. He couldn’t keep anything from her.

The Simpernaturals: The Day After

You know the drill already......this’ll probably be a short one! 

The day after Lexi and Kevin’s first date was more of a stress free one. It was quiet in the house, seeing as how it was still early yet. Only one of the two couples were awake, while the kids and Bear and Gamer were fast asleep. JB came in, sat down next to Chris on the couch and sighed. 

“Hey Babe, what’s eatin’ you?” 

“Oh......nothing.......”

“I sense something is up, why not just come out and say it?” 

“Really, nothing is wrong. Its just the day after their first date. Our baby is growing up!” 

“Yeah, its scary and fun to think about all at once, huh?”

“Certainly is” 

“What else is bugging you though?” 

“Nothing, just thinking........” 

“About?”

“Kevin and Lexi.......if they got married........” JB answered as she got up to the kitchen. 

“Could you just imagine?” 

“Ever get the feeling of deja vu?” Chris giggled. This was the second time that JB had imagined this, however he loved that she was talking about it. 

“Just what are you trying to say?” she smirked and raised her eyebrow. 

“Just that I love it when you get excited like this!” Chris said pumping the air with his fist.

As soon as JB got some water, they had went back to the couch. 

“It would be awesome to be family for real though.....” 

“Yeah.....you could be crazy Aunt JB” Chris joked. 

“OH you....” JB said attacking him with tickles. 

“OOOHHHH HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!!! STOP!! ST-ST-OOP” Chris said and defended himself by trying to tickle her in return.

“JB!! AHHAHAAAHAAAAHAAAA!! STOP IT!!” he laughed hysterically. Finally, JB relented and they both had to catch their breath. 

“What do you think Gamer and Bear think about it all?”

“We ought to talk more about it.......however, it was only their first date” 

“True”

Meanwhile, Lexi and Kim had woken up and instead of making their presence known downstairs, they went up to the roof to talk. They had started getting close, but Lexi not once asked Kim how she felt about her dating her brother. 

“So let me get this straight.......you want to know if its cool with me even though you have already technically went out with my brother?” Kim’s face contorted in annoyance. 

“Yeah, I guess......” she sighed

“Don’t you think its a little backward? I mean seriously Lexi, I am not my brother’s keeper however it is a bit annoying” 

“I....well, Im sorry.......I just thought......”

“You obviously thought wrong”

“Obviously. Well......in this case, is it okay to keep dating him?” Lexi asked as Kim with a slight smile as she raised her eyebrow. The annoying look seemed to slip from her face a fraction and suddenly a weight was lifted. 

“I guess so.......you really do love him, don’t you?” 

“Yeah” she blushed red. 

“Good........and now I have to say that if you ever break my brother’s heart......” 

“I don’t think that could ever be possible” Lexi sighed dreamily. They both giggled. “Come on, its time to make our appearance downstairs” 

As they started to march down the stairs, they heard voices of Gamer, JB, and Bear. 

“I heard Lexi had a really good time last night” Bear said to JB. 

“Yeah! Kevin couldn’t keep from talking about her even if he tried. It was SO cute!!” JB replied. Both Kim and Lexi took a look at each other and made throw-up faces at each other and giggled. They went back to listening. 

“So, have you ever thought about them getting married some day?” 

“Yeah........that would be amazing” Bear said looking over at Gamer hunched over and looking forlorn. 

“What is it?” Bear asked Gamer. 

“Well.......what if it doesn’t work out.......”

“Why wouldn’t it?”

“It COULD happen, ya know. Would that mean the end of the friendship if it came to pass?”

“I don’t see why it would.....” JB said and made a face. 

“What are you on about dear?” Bear said, a dangerousness entering into her voice. 

“I don’t know......” Gamer said, his face deepening his look. JB suddenly had a thought. 

“Are you trying to say that OUR Kevin would do anything that bad?” JB made a face. ‘Oh boy.....this went over like a wet blanket’ Gamer thought. 

“I am sure that he means that things happen” Bear soothed the atmosphere. 

“They are already planning your wedding?!” Kim whispered to Lexi making a face. Lexi giggled. 

“Worse.......they are already planning disaster and a whole bunch of drama with Kevin happening” Lexi kept giggling. 

“I severely doubt that anything like that would happen” Kim said matter of factly. 

“They are parents........” Lexi said making an observation.

“Thankyou Captain Obvious” 

“I just mean that they are more prone to jumping to conclusions” laughed Lexi. They just started down the stairs as if nothing happened and greeted everyone. Today was going to be a good day.

The Simpernaturals: Lexi’s First Date!

Good Morning folks! I sit here with my first cup of coffee in the wee hours of the morning wanting to update you all on Miss Lexi Blackburn. However, tumblr kept crashing because of the shockwave plugin not responding. So I’ve had to open this site multiple times just to get here to do this. Not really all that happy about it, I must say. I DO have to say though that I give all electronic stuff a very wide leeway......I just come to the conclusion that not all tech will work flawlessly all the time. So there ya go. But I digress......I am getting excited about this one storyline! So, lets dive in! 

After their talk on the roof, Kevin tried to seduce Lexi in front of everyone. Luckily though, they were too occupied with the show on tv to care much. There was one person that was actually watching the whole exchange, but she thought that it was really sweet! 

“So......when do you want to go on that date?” Kevin asked. 

“The bar across the street is opening up here in a few, why don’t we go over there to see what it’s like?” 

“Sure! Anything for you...” he said staring into her eyes dreamily. She giggled and thought, ‘what is wrong with me?! Im giggling like a school girl in pigtails......stop it Lexi’. 

As Lexi turned to her parents, she brightened up a little more and said, “Mom? Dad? Kevin and I are going out for the evening”

“As in a date?” Gamer said nervously.

“That’s wonderful darling! Where are you going?” Bear put a calming hand on Gamer’s arm. 

“The bar across the street” 

“Good, that’s good.......now, if you’ll excuse us, Kevin and I need to have a little talk” Gamer said and got up. Everybody paid attention to him and Kevin. The first to want to speak was JB. She didn’t know what Gamer wanted with Kevin and knew that this was a charged situation for all. When Gamer saw JB, she looked so curiously at him that he had to add, “Relax JB, I know your son is a great kid......” 

“Then why are you leaving the room?” she asked

“This is a mans talk......something that only a father would understand” 

“Well I don’t see why you have to leave the room to do it” 

“Too many opinions sour the experience” Gamer tried defending himself. 

“Honey? I kinda have to agree with Gamer on this one” Chris said shocking everyone else. 

“What?!” JB said incredulously

“It would be the same for me, when my Kim starts to date” Chris said lovingly. 

“Yeah, that would only be if I got to go out anywhere” Kim piped up. 

“You can with Lexi and Kevin!” JB smiled. Kim gave her a withering look. 

“Really Mom?! They are going ON A DATE.....when do I get to have a little freedom and strike out on my own. You KNOW I know how to take care of myself. Daddy made sure of it.......I’m a certified lethal weapon!” she started getting a little hot headed.

“Just because your Daddy’s trainer is a 3rd degree black belt and has been teaching you since you were little how to defend yourself, doesn’t make it any safer out there for you” JB mothered.

Heaving a heavy-over exaggerated sigh Kim responded, “MOM......I AM a 3rd degree black belt too.......he’s taught me everything!” 

“OK! ENOUGH” Bear said shocking them all, “Aside from Kim......I for one agree with JB.......why do you have to leave the room?” 

“I’ve already TOLD everyone why darling” Gamer tried remaining calm. This wasn’t exactly going to be the Spanish inquisition. He just wanted to let Kevin know some things. 

“And I back them up” Chris chimed in. Lexi, over in the corner, was burying her head in embarrassment. ‘WHY is it such a big deal?!’ 

“Can we GO NOW please?!” Kevin finally asked. 

“Yes, just a minute son.......” 

“If he has to leave the room, then there are two options..........you can either tell us what you told him after OR Chris can sit in on your little conversation” JB said throwing down the gauntlet. “And don’t forget, my dear friend, that I know when you are lying” she eyed him then. 

“Alright already! SHEESH!! One little conversation and I am a criminal” Gamer over exaggerated. “I’ll tell you AFTER I have a word with him.......its nothing bad. However, I feel like I’d be a bad father if I DIDN’T have this conversation with him” 

The room stayed silent as they left for the kitchen. Gamer couldn’t believe his friend! He knew Kevin to be an outstanding young man because JB was just as sweet and outstanding herself. How could he not be? He’s seen this kid grow up into a very well adjusted young man. His mind was buzzing as they stood at the counter for a minute. 

“Sir?” Kevin prompted, “You wanted to speak with me?” 

“Oh.....yeah.......right. So, you are taking my daughter out for the evening.......”

“Yes sir......”

“To that bar across the street as you said.......well, I have been in that place. A few tips? Don’t speak to anyone that you don’t know, except the DJ and bartender. Keep Lexi with you the entire time, do not let her out of your sight!”

“But she’s a very smart woman.........”

“Promise me” 

“But sir....with all due respect.....” Kevin tried. Gamer gave him a look to tell him that he meant business. Sighing he gave in, “Yes sir” 

“And be home at a decent hour.......I am sure your parents would agree to this in particular. You wouldn’t like that place after a certain hour. It turns into a biker’s hangout after midnight......I’d like to tell you what time, however that is to be decided by everyone, not just me” 

“Yes sir” 

“Oh......and another thing.......” Gamer pulled out 40 simoleons.

“Really? This is too much sir.......really......” Kevin pushed the money back.

“Show my daughter a good time, son........you deserve it. Go ahead......” he insisted. Kevin took the money and pocketed it as they left the room. As they went back to the room, everyone was all questions. All Gamer said was, “lets let these crazy kids go....”

“FINALLY!!” Lexi blurted out and went beet red. She got up, took Kevin’s arm, and said to him a little quieter, “Let’s go please”. 

“Its okay.....no worries” Kevin whispered back. 

“Okay! Here’s the rules.....” JB announced...”back before midnight, no alcohol, and no talking to strangers....” 

“Fine” they both said in unison. JB got up, hugged, and kissed Kevin and then hugged Lexi smiling. The minute that they left, JB turned back around to face Gamer. 

“So, what happened?” 

“You don’t trust me?” Gamer asked, challenging her a little. ‘Mothers’ he rolled his eyes internally while training his eyes not to follow suite. The room stayed silent......lots of thoughts weighed down the room. Most of the weight was in the fact that JB sounded like she didn’t trust Gamer at all. 

“Gamer......really........that isn’t fair!” JB said. 

“Honey, I have to agree.......it really sounds like you don’t trust him. I know you don’t mean for it to sound that way, but it does” Chris said. Just then JB turned over to Bear who was just watching the situation from afar. 

“Well don’t look at me! I know how a Mom thinks.......he’s your little baby boy. He’s growing up and its just SO heart wrenching that he likes someone. I feel the same way about Lexi. I don’t want her heart broken......just like JB doesn’t want Kevin’s heart broken. But JB.......you of all people know that Gamer means well and that you are able to trust him”

“I KNOW........Im sorry Gamer”

“That’s okay.....if it makes you feel better, I told Kevin.......no alcohol, to keep Lexi with him at all times, and I gave him money” 

“How much, mate?” Chris said pulling out his wallet. Gamer stopped him and insisted that he not pay him back. 

“Its on me Chris......no one needs to know how much” Gamer said eyeing Bear with a knowing look. 

Meanwhile, Lexi and Kevin got to their destination. 

“Sorry about Dad” 

“Hes an awesome guy, your Dad” Kevin said as she smiled. “I really love that smile of yours” he flirted as he moved in closer. Before they knew it they were kissing! 

Lexi blushed after and said, “I didn’t think that would ever happen” 

Smiling, Kevin said, “Funny.......me either.....” and he hugged her tight. “Shall we go inside?”

As they entered the place, they realized just how loud the music really was and just how much they wanted to find a secluded spot that was quiet. The only place with the comfiest couch that they could find was the entrance to the bathroom. 

“The bathroom?” Lexi giggled. 

“Its the only quiet spot in here” Kevin laughed. Soon they started talking about their interests, school, and other things. Then the conversation turned flirtatious and one thing led to another. After their brief moment, the conversation turned to finding a different spot to be in. 

“Why should we find a different place? This is perfect!” Lexi said. 

“Well....” Kevin opened his arms, “I just thought that we could be alone somewhere else.....more.....private” 

“Kevin Hemsworth! Are you suggesting what I think youre suggesting?” she turned a slight pink at the thought. 

“Aren’t you?” he wiggled his eyebrows as Lexi laughed. “Come on.....let’s go!”

They went downstairs and found the perfect place. Kevin, who didn’t need any prompting from Lexi, just took Lexi by surprise.

As they messed around they found themselves opening up and going into the closet for even more privacy, even though no one was really around to see them. 

Some time passed and finally they emerged. It was getting close to 11pm and they were thirsty, however, both their phones went off at the same time. 

“UGH! Really?! They can’t leave me alone?” Lexi said aloud. 

Kevin looked at his phone too and said, “Youre not the only one......I got the same kind of text......what does yours say?” 

“When are you coming home? And its from my mother” sighed Lexi, “You?”

“You should be home by now, don’t you think? And its from my Mom” Kevin replied. 

“I can’t wait to grow up and be on my own......I know they love us, but come on” 

“Sometimes I feel the same, but I have to remind myself they do it BECAUSE they love us. Plus, I have a feeling like they’re nervous for us. That maybe we won’t last and it’ll be this big drama or something” 

Lexi laughed, “Parents! You can’t live with’em.....”

“And you can’t live without’em!” Kevin finished laughing. “Come on, we should get a drink upstairs and then head out for home. They can wait thirty minutes I think. Im texting Mom back and let her know....” 

“Sounds good! I really had a great time!” 

“Me too!”

Simpernaturals: Lexi Has a Crush

Good Morning!! Just had breakfast and having my coffee now! Only a few til Im out the door to my usual workout. However, I just had to come back and try to get some of this written. I am getting excited over this storyline! So, without further ado......here are the simpernaturals! 

It had been another normal day in Willow Creek. The Blackburn/Hemsworth house was empty except for JB, Chris, Bear, and Gamer as the kids were still off at school but due back any minute. JB was, of course, in the bathroom talking to herself in the mirror. She was thinking about what the parents have been buzzing about, Lexi and Kevin apparently liking each other. 

“It would drive me crazy if this comes to pass and it doesn’t work out” JB admitted to herself while making a face. “It would be nice though......if it happened and things became more than just a passing fancy.....” she sighed and dreamed happily. Just as JB was getting ahead of herself, imagining their wedding and what their kid would look like, Lexi and Kevin had just arrived home. 

“So......” Lexi continued their talk of who at school liked who, “Do you have anyone that YOU like?” she hinted. 

“Well....there is this one chick.....” he started to tell her. 

“Yeah? Thats cool” Lexi started looking a little forlorn, but tried being cheerful nonetheless. 

“She is pretty cool......” he sighed looking at her dreamily. It was then that Lexi perked up a bit. 

“Could this chick.........oh I don’t know.......wear glasses?” she hinted. 

“Mmm....yeah, she does” he smiled. 

“Well.......do you have anyone YOURE interested in?” Kevin asked, turning the conversation around to her. ‘Any more questioning at this point would make it way too obvious’, he thought. Although he felt as though he was practically telling her that he had a crush on her. 

“Yeah” she smiled happily. 

“Does he go to our school?” 

“He does.....and I have known him since we were kids” she sighed and thought, ‘Can I be any less obvious?’. 

“Well? Are you going to tell me his name?” Kevin asked. He wanted to hear her say his name.

“I asked you first though” Lexi giggled. 

“Oh, lady’s first as always” he bowed low as she giggled. 

“Kevin Hemsworth.....always the gentleman” she giggled again. 

“Come on, tell me” he coaxed. 

“Here, take a picture.......then I might tell” Lexi joked. 

“Fine.....say cheese!” he said as he pulled out his phone. 

After that, he tried to get it out of her and she fended him off all the way upstairs. They were on their way to the roof because they wanted to watch a movie. 

At last, Kevin couldn’t stand it any longer. He had to get it out or else he’d bust, “Lexi? I........well I........” he stammered. 

“You what?” her heart beat faster at his hesitation.

“I......I really like you.......a lot” he said and kissed her hands. ‘Oh......oh wow....’ Lexi thought. 

“Can we....exchange numbers?” Kevin asked. 

“But we live together!” laughed Lexi. Just then her phone dinged. 

She took a look at it and accepted, giggling. “I like you too, you know.......” Lexi admitted.

“Really?” 

“Yeah.....” she turned bright red. 

“Do you think that we could go on a date?” Kevin asked nervously. 

“Yeah” she smiled, “that would be great”.

Simpernaturals: All Grown Up

Good Morning folks! Its a bright beautiful day here! I am mostly through with coffee and breakfast so I thought that I would update since I just played. Its been a while since we’ve seen JB, Gamer, and the gang so I thought, why not? Just to set the stage, you will find that Lexi and the twins, Kim and Kevin, are grown to teenage-hood. So.......on with the story! 

It had been a couple of months since JB’s brush with death at the Blue Bear. Since then, things had gone back to normal, the kids doing okay in school, and all having birthdays. Now that they were teens, their parents decided that it would still be okay that they slept in the same room, however, they just had to get one of those bigger closets so that they could walk in to change their clothes when they needed to for extra added privacy. 

One day while at the breakfast table, the parents who had just sent their kids off to school, sat down and talked a lot about their life so far together. They talked about how they couldn’t believe that from that one chance meeting, that all of this had sprung up around the trio. 

“I never really asked you all how you guys all met” Chris said with enthusiasm. “Thats really cool that you two took a chance on Bear”.

“Well, she looked a little lost.......we figured she was new in town.....and, well, you know us. We are very friendly!!” JB smiled at Bear. 

“I think it was more me than you, JB, who accepted her into the fold” Gamer laughed. 

“Oh not true......I was just as accepting” JB giggled. “You just saw her first and it was love at first sight” 

“Or maybe that was indigestion......” Gamer teased. Bear gave him a look and so he felt as though he needed to add, “Honey, really........Im kidding!! You know it was love at first sight! I know I mentioned it to you more than once!” 

“Chris, seriously.....to get these two together, it took a little convincing Gamer on my part. He was so far gone.......that puppy look he gave whenever she entered the room” she grasped her heart, “It was the cutest thing!” 

“So, why didn’t you go after her right then and there, mate? Seems like the most logical thing to do........if you love someone that deeply I mean. It was like that for JB and I” he looked at her lovingly and held out a hand. 

She grasped it and gave it a squeeze, “Shall I say or do you want to do the honors here?” she looked at Gamer. 

“Hmmm, I think you are doing a perfect job of over-dramatizing the whole thing.....” he giggled at his own joke, “but go ahead. You are a great story-teller!”

“He confided in me that he was scared to........what if she said no? What if there was someone else? It was for this reason that I had to push him in the right direction. Bear, eventhough a little unhinged at times, was still giving him the green light” 

“All too true.....” Bear interjected, “Moment that I saw him.......that was it. I couldn’t risk asking JB, as I had not known her for that long just yet, if he liked me like that because I didn’t know what they were together. Maker only knows that I wasn’t even gonna ask that question of her yet either. So, I felt as though I was at an impasse”. Here she looked lovingly at Gamer, “I was so thrilled when Gamer decided to ask me out and I love him now more than ever”. 

“That is SO sweet!” Chris said dreamily. 

“Speaking of sweet though.....” Bear said, a change in the conversation, “have you seen our Lexi with Kevin lately?” 

“You mean the fact that they have been practically joined at the hip.....especially just recently?” JB inquired. The girls then looked at the guy’s vacant expressions. 

Bear giggled, “Men.....” she sighed. 

“What?” Gamer looked quizzically. 

“Men are always the last to know such things, Bear........its still amazing to me” JB giggled. 

“I don’t know about Gamer, but I have an excuse.......its called a job” Chris laughed. 

“So are you going to clue us in?” Gamer said getting a bit impatient. 

Bear pulled out the most recent photo of them hanging out together, “Take a look dear.......” 

“Its a picture of them, what’s the big deal?” 

“They’re practically joined at the hip these days. They help each other with their homework, I find that they joke around each other a lot, and sometimes they are found in a corner.........while Kim is off playing with other friends......whispering and giggling” Bear said. 

“Isn’t that what friends often do though?” Chris said scratching his head. 

“Yes, sometimes......but there are little things involved here.......the touch of the hand, a smile in the other’s direction when they aren’t looking, and doing things for them” JB explained, “I think that this is what Bear meant” 

“They like each other?!” Gamer asked a little surprised. “You mean to tell me that my baby girl is in love?” 

“Aaahh to be young again!” JB said and kissed her husband. Just then, Chris and JB got up from the table just then, needing some time to themselves. Gamer and Bear remained and started to talk again.

“I still can’t believe that our baby girl is in love” 

“In love with the same boy that she grew up with.......” Bear let her words fall and she sighed. “How terribly romantic!”

“Hold it right there.......” Gamer put up a finger, “this could become a problem. What if he doesn’t like her? Or what if they get together and break up? The teen drama that could happen here would be enough to make anyone go crazy!” Gamer said pulling a face. 

“Well, we can’t just tell her not to be in love Gamer.......especially with the one person she sees all the time” 

“Yeah well, I just am not so sure its such a great idea.........” 

“Honey, we’ve been in this house now for a long time with them, we’ve seen how JB and Chris handle their kids, and they are excellent parents. I am sure that they brought Kevin up right.........and I am sure that they would help us figure things out if things didn’t turn out so well. Plus, one of them might even feel the way you do about this whole thing. Bottom line is that we have to respect Lexi and her decisions. We have to trust her too”

Meanwhile in the next room, JB and Chris were talking about this very thing. 

“Wouldn’t it be great if our Kevin fell in love with Lexi?” JB said dreamily. “Then, we’d really be family!” 

“Im not so sure that we ought to let this happen, Love” Chris said scratching his head. 

“Men” JB sighed and shook her head.

“Just hear me out........what if they did get together and something happened? They broke up and all? What then?” 

“They brought Lexi up right, correct?” to Chris’s nodding head, she continued,”And we had something to do with her upbringing too......” 

“Right, but that doesn’t mean anything! Things could still happen like that” 

“So, what do we do? We can’t tell Bear and Gamer to have their kid stay away from ours.........thats not right. Its not like she’s a bad influence on him. Actually its quite the opposite. If there is love there, we can’t stomp on it because they’ll just sneak around as teens often do. I say we talk it out with Gamer and Bear some more. I think that they ought to know that you don’t feel right about this.”

“That I don’t feel right? Don’t you think you mean we?”

“I think its sweet and I would love it to happen, if it came to pass. Im sorry Sweetie, but you are on your own here......” 

“In the meantime......” she yawned and put her arm around Chris as he giggled.

Chris giggled and had the decency to look a little sheepish. “I suppose you are right” he sighed, “I just don’t want our happy home to become a drama induced nightmare because of this” 

“Honey......” JB looked at him and raised an eyebrow, “you have nothing to worry over. Whatever happens, everyone under this roof is pretty reasonable I’d say” 

Just then, they stopped chatting and just held each other. Giggles and thumps could be heard from the kid’s room as JB looked around for her two friends. Chris looked around for them too, then took another look at JB, and giggled. They knew exactly what they were up to. “We should have thought of that too” laughed Chris.

“We’ll get our chance” she said as she started to kiss him with a promise of more after that.

Regardless of the budding romance beginning to boil, one thing was for certain. Their kids were all grown up and still growing. Their adventures together were just beginning as their parent’s adventures were taking a couple wild turns that they were preparing themselves for.

The Simpernaturals: JB’s Outing

Good Morning folks! Hope all slept well and are ready for another update!! I woke out of the blue at 5:30am and would have had this all set and done so I could play, BUT I had to take care of some business first and wished that I didn’t have to. But I digress. Here I sit, coffee in hand, and ready to get these cranked out! So, without further ado, here are the Simpernaturals!

The day after Bear and JB’s hang out found little Kim Hemsworth at the computer playing Sims Forever. It had been a tiring day of school and homework. The day hadn’t gone too badly for Kim, but Kevin sensed that she was stressed. Mostly, when she felt this way, he was inclined to leave her alone and let her be. She mostly would come to him or Lexi Blackburn for a talk if she needed one. However, today was different. 

“Hey sis! What’s up?” he went into their room cautiously.

“Oh.....nothing......playing sims” 

“Cool! What’s going on in game”

“My sim wanted to try skiing, so thats what she’s doing right now. It kind of sucks for her right now because she can’t do it very well” she giggled. “She keeps falling down and then cursing the sky” they both laughed at this. 

“Well, other than that, how’s your day been?”

“Oh, okay......I guess.......my best friend is mad at me for some silly reason”

“Which is?”

“Well, see.......she likes this boy........and I thought that I was helping her out.....”

“Aww sis!! You didn’t....did you?”

“Well? How was I supposed to know! She really wanted to tell him!!” 

“Exactly HOW MUCH did you tell him?” 

“Only that she really liked him a lot.....”

“And?”

Kim shuffled her feet a bit before answering, “So I told him that he should ask her out........” she hung her head, “Someone overheard and told her what I said. Now she won’t talk to me” 

“She’s embarrassed Kim! How’d you feel if you were her?” 

“Probably how she’d react” 

“Sis, look......its ok........just write to her and explain. Did the guy say that he liked her too?”

“He just looked surprised” she said. He gave her another hug and reassured her that things would be better tomorrow. 

The next morning, all the kids decided that, upon waking up, that they would read for a little bit. It was Saturday and the house wasn’t even alive with activity yet. They thought that it was in their best interest to just hang out with each other for a while. 

Once the activity started to roll, kids and parents alike started getting ready for daily activities. JB was just about to ask Bear if she wanted to hang out again, when a friend called. 

“Hey JB!! Wanna go to the Blue Bear with me?” 

“I’d love to!!” 

She hurried along her way and got out her best party outfit. As she was leaving, Chris stopped her.

“Is that what you decided to wear? Of all your party outfits?”

“Yup!” she said brightly.

“Are you sure Bear hasn’t rubbed off on you a bit?”

“And if she has?” she cocked an eyebrow.

“Then I say bravo! Better be extraordinary rather than ordinary!”

“Good save” she said and patted his arm. He decided to grab her up in a long lasting kiss that made her googly eyed. She giggled. 

“Have fun!” 

At the restaurant, her friend commented on her superb fashion sense. “Gladiator is SO in right now” she laughed. 

“I am the bell of the ball ya know” she winked and laughed with her. The conversation took off and they both ordered a meal. They had a fantastic time together and the time seemed to fly by so quickly. At one point, JB got up to go out to dance on the dancefloor. She even encouraged her friend to go too!!

Once the song was over an another was playing, JB looked around and saw a fire pit! 

“Hey!! Watch this!!” she said to her friend, lighting the fire. 

“Be careful!!” she seemed worried.

“I will!” 

“OOOooo girl!! You are on FIRE!!” her friend called out whooping and hollering. JB was having a ball!! 

Finally when she was done dancing, her friend had gone to the bathroom and a handsome gentleman was sitting down enjoying the fireworks. 

“Wow......youre good!!” 

“Oh my MAKER!! Youre.....Youre........”

“Channing Tatum, yes..........and you are?” 

JB was a drooling mess, her brain was rolling but her mouth couldn’t quite form words. Channing was sweet enough that he didn’t laugh, but just stood there with an amused look on his face. “Let me just say, that that outfit is stunning on you” he said smoothly.

“Thanks.......Im.......married” inside JB’s insides were turning over making her feel sick while she was thinking, ‘WHAT the HELL was that?! Im.....MARRIED?! Could I BE any dorkier?!’. Again she heard him chuckle. 

“Yeah, Chris is your husband right?” 

“Yeah” she said now several shades darker than the color of a rose.

“Look.......Mrs Hemsworth......you need not be so tongue tied around me nor nervous. I am just like your husband......another guy in the movies, thats all” 

“Thanks” she said softly and took a deep breath, “I just haven’t been around too many actors.........at least not yet..........”

“I agree, it takes some---” just then a scream rang out from inside and JB’s gut instinct was to run quickly inside. There, on the floor, was a waiter in a bear suite dying. Grim had appeared and he seemed not to have noticed the chaos that surrounded him. 

“Now......let me see.......” Grim pulled his tablet out, “Beatrice......yes......thats her.......” he read her bio. 

“Mr. Reaper sir!! PLEASE.........PLEASE don’t take Beatrice!!” JB pleaded. 

“Mr. Reaper is it? Ha! Will you lot ever stop trying to beg me not to take your friends and family?! I have been yelled at all day and suddenly its ‘Mr. Reaper, sir?’ he said imitating her voice. “You might as well save your breath because she is mine now........we need her soul!” 

JB cried out in anguish over losing Beatrice. Eventhough she didn’t know her that well, to JB every life was precious. She didn’t deserve to die in a restaurant at least! 

Soon, the body began to glow and rise.......

“What? What’s happening?” there were whispers all over the place. “But the Grim! He said he wasn’t going to bring her back!!” the whispers from the crowd continued. 

As Beatrice was set back down on her feet and began talking to everyone around her, JB’s heart leaped with joy! She was confused though........why had the Grim saved her when He told her something different. As she was trying to work this out in her head, the Grim came up to her. 

“I hear all thoughts......all heartbeats of the living which is how I can know when to come when one ceases to remain beating. Their hearts.........their souls.......they speak to me in ways I am not sure I can make you understand, not even in part, my child. Yours, here and now, spoke the loudest. Most just don’t want to see a person die before them, they would rather I spare them that loss. You on the other hand have the purest heart.......yours was solely for the person. For who and what they were.......even if they didn’t know you nor you them, you just wanted them to experience more love and life. To not see them die without family around them.........at work......among strangers. This is why I brought her back. However, I must warn you that to each soul I save, means that I have to take another in its place.......it is the natural order of things.” 

When he had ceased talking, JB was in a daze and in tears.......first for Beatrice, second because tragedy seemed to have passed her by and she was safe, and third was over the Grim’s words. She needed to go to the bathroom and collect herself, but that’s when.......for the second time that day......someone fell down dead before the Reaper could leave. 

As people filed into the small stall, JB took the Reaper aside to plead for this other sim. Unfortunately, the Reaper was unmoved. “I told you child.......for each soul I save, I need to take another. This one was on my list after Beatrice. I am sorry, but I cannot save this one, even if I wanted to”. JB cried her eyes out as he had reaped the gentlemen and decided that her outing with her friend was over. She couldn’t stand being there much longer. 

At home, she ran into the bathroom and shut herself in, even at Chris’s protests. “JB!! Let me in love!! Let me in!! What’s the matter?!” JB could only sob though. 

Finally, red faced and puffy-eyed, she let him through. 

“Finally! What’s the matter my love?” he took her hands. 

She told him all about it while he consoled her, “There there.......JB......its the natural order of things honey......I know that doesn’t make it better, but they are going to a better place. It was just their time”

He dried her eyes for her and they chatted. After a while JB felt a lot better. She knew that the Grim had a job to do, just like the Maker did when things were right for a couple to have a baby. She couldn’t plan to know what the Grim did with all the souls he collected, but she had a theory. 

That night she told everyone about the tragedy that struck The Blue Bear. Some consoled her still, some cried with her, but all in all they were there for her as much as she knew she was there for them too. They all went up, one by one, and tucked in the kiddos and kissed them goodnight after that. It certainly had been a big day. 

“I love you guys.......I am glad we are family” JB announced and yawned. They all did the same and hugged one another goodnight. 

“Things’ll look better in the morning JB” Gamer said with confidence and smiled. 

“I certainly hope so.........seeing us as we are now, has given me hope” she smiled. 

And that my friends, is the end. Yeah, it was a sad one today, but how awesome was JB’s outfit! HA HA!! Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more!!

Simpernaturals: JB and Bear Hang Out

Hi there again! You all know the drill.........so, down to business!!

We look in again on the Blackburn/Hemsworth house. The house hadn’t changed much since we last saw it, only the occupants.......or rather the smallest occupants......have changed. Lexi Blackburn is still a child, Chris and JB’s kids are now grown to children, and they have been living in harmony every since. They have had this crazy household down into a routine finally and they both look after each other’s kids. Seems like a crazy crew with chores that fall through the cracks, but even in uncomfortable living space, they are happy and healthy.

On such occasion, Bear was at the table with JB discussing the cleanliness of the house.

“Yeah, it could do with a thorough cleaning”

“We could all pitch in and help clean.......it wouldn’t take long” Bear took a sip of coffee. The children were gone and only she, Chris, Bear, and Gamer were around.

“Or, we can go and have a girls day!” JB wiggled her eyebrows. “Maybe our husbands would clean if we were gone” she whispered. Bear laughed aloud.

“Our husbands? Clean? Have you seen Chris EVER pick up a broom? Or Gamer for that matter, take out a dish rag?” Bear laughed harder.

“Hey, I resent that implication!” Gamer said coming in.

“Oh sweetie, Im kidding”

“Uh-huh” he said half smirking-half trying not to smile too big.

“You do a lot around the house” Bear got up and kissed her husband. Then, went over to the coffee pot and poured him a cup.

“Thanks” he said sipping at it.

“My point is, JB, that everyone has to be in on it..........everyone has to be on board”

“On board with what?” Chris asked, entering the room.

“With cleaning this place up! Its gotten filthy!!” JB said. The boys looked around the room and noticed the dirt.

“Ugh.....I really don’t want to do that” they said in unison. Bear turned to JB.

“It was a nice thought” she shrugged at JB.

“So, you’d rather live in filth?” JB continued.

“No......I’d rather have things clean”

“Well......lets clean then”

“Awww MOM do I HAVE to?!” Gamer whined like a kid for comedic effect. Bear giggled at that and couldn’t keep a straight face.

“Ok smartass......” Bear began and Gamer interrupted.

“Better to be a smartass than a dumbass.......but go on”

Bear rolled her eyes at him and continue with the chorused laughter behind her, “what do you suppose we do?”

“Hire a maid”

“That costs money”

“So? We got enough to pay them”

“That’s not the point!” JB chimed in.

“Well, whats the point?” Gamer asked.

“Point is is that we have to teach the children a valuable lesson. You can’t get what you want when you want it sometimes and that hard work pays off”

“Well, we got the money so I beg to differ on the first point”

“And the second point?” Bear asked

“We can show them this in other ways” Again, Bear rolled her eyes for the upteenth time. “You keep rolling your eyes at me and they might roll out of your head” Gamer teased.  That ended the conversation.

“JB, I feel a ladies day comin’ on........lets get ready and go to Oasis Spring to the Rattlesnake Lounge”

“WOOT!! Let’s do it!!

The minute that they got to the lounge, they noticed all the ghosts around.

“Is it ghost day or something?” JB asked

“I don’t know.......I don’t think so” Bear looked around at the almost empty place. Then, suddenly as she sat down on a chair, she noticed one of the ghosts stuck in the floor. Looking at his face, she decided it best not to disturb him. He looked menacing!

Then, at the bar as they ordered drinks, they met a nice woman who had been all too happy to be their friend. They started talking about the neighborhoods and the local gossip.

“Did you know that Morty Goth tried to pick up a chick who was half his age?” she asked them.

“NO!!” both of them said in unison. The girl confirmed the rumor and they all laughed.

“Hold up! You’re talking about Morty?” the bartender asked.

“Yeah” the girl confirned

“Which bar was this?”

“I don’t know........I think in Windenburg, why?”

“Wow, thats a close call.........I once dated him myself, so I wanted to be sure. Now I am with Don”

“Waaaaaiiiittt......you talkin’ bout THE Don?” Bear said. Apparently Don was legendary. That Bjorn guy was a close third. Since when did these communities become a magnet for people like these three?

“Yeah......he’s become quite the playboy, Ive heard” said the lady.

“Interesting” JB said as she chimed in.

“Well, I think we ought to be shoving off toward the gym” Bear said looking at JB.

“Yeah, okay!” she turned slightly red. How did her body get like this? And more importantly, how did Bear allow her to go out like this? She covered up as she started becoming self conscious.

“Oh would you stop!!” Bear pulled her hands away that were trying to pull the shirt she had on down where it wouldn’t go. “You don’t look that bad” she assured her, but she wasn’t so sure. “Plus, we are gonna go do something about it, right?”

“Right”

As they walked in the gym, Bear went to the bags and started to pound into them with her fists as JB got on a treadmill.

JB had been going on strong, when she stepped on her own shoelace and went down like a ton of bricks. Her trainer had asked if she was okay and she rubbed her head and said, “I think so”. 

“Alright then, lets get back to it!” 

“Really?” she said looking scared.

“You said you’re ok right?”

“Yeah” 

“Okay, get back to it! Im going to go check on Bear and I will be back!” she said as JB’s scared look faded just a bit. 

“Hey, how’s it going over here” 

“Good! I heard a crash” Bear frowned. 

“Oh JB just fell” 

“And you left her.........” Bear said incredulous while starting to look dangerous again. She seriously was in combat mode.

“Oh she’s fine! She told me that she was”

“You better hope and pray she is” Bear said fiercely. 

She went back to the bag and heard a few encouraging words from her and JBs trainer. By the time that she was done with her session, JB was already off the treadmill and talking to friends.

So, Bear walked up to a pair of ladies talking to themselves and started a conversation. 

“HEY.......aren’t you the chick who basically pushed me away from Gamer?!” she said fiercely. 

“Who?”

“Gamer! That man HAD been my boyfriend until some bitch came along and stole him away from me!” she said. ‘BOY she has some chip on her shoulder’ thought Bear. 

“HA! Nope.....not me. I think I MIGHT have a doppelganger around here somewhere. People always talk about this nut........Bear Blackburn?” she lied through her teeth......she did NOT want a confrontation with this lunatic. She knew how to kick arse, but that did not mean she wanted to fight. To continue to stay out of her path, she bid them goodbye and found Bear Ackle’s daughter, Anna, working out. Although she had not formerly introduced herself, she knew who she was. 

“Hey there! My name is Bear” 

“I know Mom!” she grunted as she worked out.

“I am not your mother”

“Funny, you look and talk just like her” she laughed a little

“No seriously, I am Bear Blackburn” and Anna stopped for a moment to consider this. 

“If this is one of your jokes Mom..........so help me........”

“Its not!! I swear!!” Bear said......this wasn’t going so hot. “Look, you go to your Mom and ask her where she was today. If she says she was here? Its a joke and Im sorry. If she says she was somewhere else? Well, then,there ya go.” she said decisively. 

“Gah, fine........do you mind? I want to work out now”

“Okay, bye” Bear walked off nonplussed. She decided that the best course of action would be to find JB and leave. They had a full day anyway and JB looked like she was ready to go home.
