Played around this afternoon with a little printmaking. I used a Staedtler Mastercarve block which was way too soft, making it hard to hold details and easy to make mistakes. As soon as I started carving, I messed up some of the lines. Anyway I had fun. Susanna has been coming to the Featherstone Make Art Workshops to make unique postcards. She uses them in the campaign to get out the vote. Last weekend we added some Gelli Plate backgrounds to the letters. I’d say “going great guns!” but what does that mean anyway? Guns??? Anyway, I love being a part of her process.
