Simple Whole Wheat pita bread Pizza
(Vegetarian) (non-dairy option)
Tonight I’m making pita pizzas! Super easy recipe that can be adapted for any taste. And less than 350 calories, for Pizza!
1 whole wheat Pita bread
2 Pizza sauce
3 Mozzarella cheese (Or any other like Italian style, non-fat, or non-dairy)
4 Any toppings you want! I use mushrooms and red onions along with some parmesan cheese. My husband likes a layer of pepperoni. My step son likes canned pineapple and sliced deli ham for Hawaiian. The trick with canned pineapple is to dry it off before putting it on the pizza so it doesn’t make it soggy!
The directions are simple!
Preheat the oven to 375. First put butter on the pita and spray a baking pan. Bake for 2-5 minutes. Next take it out of the oven and place sauce on the pita bread. I like about 2-3 tablespoons. Next put on the cheese and then toppings. Top with a bit of garlic salt. Then bake for 5-12 more minutes for desired level of crunch.
