I understand the pun behind the name Eustace Winner (Useless Winner) and that's the whole point behind Ace Attorney names. But still. Eustace????

Besides, in my own personal opinion, Debeste is just a way cooler last name that fits into the whole joke a lot better. Like, "They call me winner because I'm a winner." isn't NEARLY as funny as, "They call me debeste because I am the best." It's just not as on the nose.

Once again thinking about how funny a NU: Carnival anime would be. Like, imagine seeing Eiden, Dante, and Olivine in a carrige when suddenly Father flies in from the window and Rei just OPENS THE DOOR BECAUSE HE WAS HANGING OUTSIDE THE WHOLE TIME INSTEAD OF JUST ASKING TO RIDE ALONG LIKE A NORMAL PERSON.

Okay I'm gonna go on a huge spiel about Yuto Inukai now because OH MY GOD YOU PEOPLE DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THIS MAN MAKES ME FEEL. I'm sorry if something doesn't make sense I'm shaking rn.

Okay so he doesn't get as much attention in this song as in others as I'm fairly certain this is meant to be "Kenta's song" in a way so I'll be focusing on the one part that's his own.

The first verse is fairly simple, a typical for a Goku Luck song. The editing isn't anything special either but Hancho's eyes are really pretty <3

But the second verse is where I practically squealed.

The first line is a normal Hancho thing to sing and I want to say the skull is a reference to his illusion but that might be a reach. It's probably just edgy to be edgy. THE NEXT LINE HOWEVER-

YUTO WRAPPED IN CHAINS??? Obviously representing how he feels trapped in both the system and in his own body. But the lyrics give a more hopeful message, one I believe Hancho is giving directly to Yuto in the one way he can. Yuto is always the odd one out in Goku Luck with how easy he is to push around and his "naive" view of people and their ability to change into better versions of themselves. So many people berate him for this, including Hancho at one point (Inderectly of course because they don't share memories) so hearing him say something like, "Believe it and you can achieve it" is ASTOUNDING. It's showing the growing understanding between the two and I am HERE FOR IT!!

Also having Hancho appear for just the, "No doubt" part tickles my pickle.

THEY HARMONIZED. THEY FUCKING HARMONIZED!!! HANCHO AND YUTO INUKAI ARE FUCKING HARMONIZING IN A SONG!!!!

At first I thought it might have been Shion since his voice sounds the most similar to it out of Goku Luck BUT NO. EVERYONE IN THIS SONG HARMONIZES WITH THEMSELF SO THAT IS YUTO INUKAI WE ARE HEARING!!! For those of you not in the know in canon Yuto is never the one singing because Hancho comes out to do it every time, so hearing Yuto sing literally made me shake.

Of course it could just be Hancho singing in a higher pitch than usual but I highly doubt that given his range in previous songs and drama tracks. Besides, it also lines up with the lyrics before and the whole plot of the two halves coming to understand each other instead of living in fear of the other.

I honestly don't have much to say for the lyrics here since they seem to be more targeted towards the other prisoners (Or Kenta specifically is we assume this is "his" song) and not Yuto or Hancho. "Go dogo" is funny ig.

Finally read through the Rainy Season event in NU: Carnival and oh my GOD is it good. Like, I never expected this game to have such good writing!! I was almost in TEARS by the end oh my god. The exploration of Quincy and Topper's relationship??? The peeks into Rei??? The entire theme being around rain and loss????? WHY IS THIS GAME MAKING ME SO SAD AND HAPPY THIS IS SO CRAZY Also shoutout to Topper's little raincoat being the BEST outfit in the game nothing is topping that.
