in your opinion what are the best expansion packs for ts3? I really want to expand my game :-) thanks!
I only have these EPs. I actually don't really like the others personally. Here is a rundown:
Ambitions: This is one of my top faves. It adds a lot of new careers that you can actually play in. Instead of walking in say a hospital and dissapearing for 5 hours, you can hang out inside the firestation and direct your sim if fires start around town. On the top of my head there new careers like fireman/woman at the firestation, tattoo artist at a tattoo parlor, stylist at a salon, home designer, and a few others. This is a must if you want more interaction with your sims. Biggest Pro: Tons of new careers. Biggest Con: None really
Generations: This isn't a must unless you really like to play with the kids. I know most people really play only grown up sims. But this adds things like baby/toddler strollers, bunk beds, sleeping bags, wedding cakes and new party types like teen parties, slumber parties, bachelor/bachelorette parites, weddings, funerals, etc. Some other stuff is after school activites like boy scouts, ballet, science and drama clubs. Also, adults and elders can teach teens how to drive. There are also proms, graduations, etc. Biggest pro: A lot of new interactions and content. Biggest Con: No new town is introduced
Island Paradise: This isn't a must either, at all. The only reason I got it is for the resort running. Basically run a hotel and get paid. But this also adds mermaids, boats, jet skies, etc. You can also build houses over the water and live on a boat in the middle of the ocean. Biggest pro: Travel by water. Biggest Con: Nothing exciting going on.
Late Night: One of my faves. This added Vampires (before Supernatural) and clubs / party venues. Bridgeport is one of my fave towns (along with Lucky Palms and Apaloosa Plains) and I can't live without Waylon's Haunt. Go to dance clubs, pubs, sports bars, etc. Also added more musical instruments and you can start a singer-less band and play around town to make extra cash. Biggest pro: Ability to party your arse off. Biggest Con: Club venues can get boring after a while
Pets: This is one of my faves! It adds pets like dogs, cats and horses. But that's not all, it also adds rodents, reptiles and birds which are buyable or you can catch them outside. Apaloosa Plains is amazing and seeing townies ride around on horses is pretty neat. Biggest pro: Pets! Biggest Con: Homeless animals roam the streets and your yard
Supernatural: This is another great EP. It adds Fairies, Werewolves, Vampires and Witches and they each do what they are known to do ie magic, transformations, flying, etc. Moonlight Falls is pretty cool too. Biggest pro: Supernatural creatures. Biggest Con: Most of the clothing is for the supernaturals, not so much everyday sims lol
University Life: This isn't a must either, this my least fave EP out of all the ones listed above. You really just go to college lol. But you need to go at least twice to get your degree and I haven't made it yet lol. There are cool shops though like a comic shop and coffee shop. A ton of new food items like herbs and spices are introduced as well. Biggest pro: You get to get roommates to help pay. Biggest Con: Takes forever to get anywhere.
I know Sims Secret far, but it scares me, as there is talk about foreign Sims.
I find it terrible that people make fun of Sims on the other folks. That really makes me angry. But what I find it worst, when they do it anonymously. In Germany we said, have the ass in the trousers. Have the courage and decency, it is the person directly and say to yourself and do not be so cowardly to do it on Sims Secret!
Me if I ever got anon hate on here:
But I guess some people just have thicker skin than most...
Geekette down the Sims hole: Sims Secret wankery
To the secret poster who likened GOS to needing the Occupy Movement. You disgust me.
These protests and occupation movements globally are and were about equal rights regardless of your income, dispersing money equally, ending corruption that only benefits the rich, and showing wrong capitalists the consequences of their greedy and selfish actions.
As somebody whom didn't grow up with much wealth you have offended me, and certainly others who believe in the movement, and others who are/were in my position. You likening your distaste for the mods and requesting that we do this cheapens the entire movement.
Go back to your nice, suburban, middle class home.
