kelly: I really feel like the preschools in this area are amazing, Mel. i’m sure you’ll qualify for assistance to help pay for it also. but if all else fails, you know I’ll budget my online shopping expenses to help you out-
melody: I know mom, we’ve discussed this. I’ve been looking into it.. just haven’t had the time to tour the school.
kelly: thank goodness! you have no idea how bad I want to see my little butternut in school. can you imagine the trouble he’s going to bring those little preschool girls? he’s a hottie! [still talking]
melody’s conscious: thank you for continually reminding me of sh*t I need to do, mother..

melody’s conscious: [checking social media] delete, block, delete.. god why are guys such pigs?
[rex checks his phone]
rex: wow.. that was-
cecelia: a gift.. from me to you [smirks]
rex: [laughs] well it’s definitely time for me to go, it’s getting pretty dark.
cecelia: see you..?
rex: whenever.. tomorrow? I can-
cecelia: facetime me tonight?
rex: yeah.. yeah, I can do that [smiles]
Cecelia felt warm inside. The satisfaction of capturing someone’s eye was thrilling. The rush she felt when you first kissed someone was unexplainable. She loved being first. She hated double standards and loved the surprise of the girl being the aggressor. This time was no different.
cecelia: f*ck it.
[cecelia kisses rex]
rex: oomf [kisses back]
rex: [looks down] for the record, you are.. the best looking girl i’ve ever seen..
cecelia: [sways back and forth]

rayna: don’t mess with me today Rex, mother nature is in full effect and she will kick your ass.
I laughed to myself watching Rayna becoming irritated with Rex. She was sharp, witty, and could be Evil when provoked. She didn’t hear my question, a portion of me was relieved she didn’t. I didn’t want to sound like I was probing her love life. Rayna’s only dated like, one guy in her whole life.. so I doubted she had a special someone in her life at the moment. She was realistic.. she would never start a relationship when she was on her way to college.
cecelia: rayna.. Rex is suppose to come over this week. I need you there for support, so I’m like - not alone and sh*t. rayna: girl, please. I’ll be over, Car will be there, so I won’t be a third wheel..right, Car? carina: huh? Oh yeah, I’m always home.. I’d rather BE home but Cecelia dragged me out the house tonight. Sounds good..haha
It was almost 9Pm and we had to get home fast.. I looked back to see Rayna still standing there on her phone. She looked so beautiful, edgy, calm and cool. I felt a jolt in my stomach, why? The way she looked at me and said ‘right, Car?’. I shook it off and kept jogging with Cecelia home.

My sister adored the attention, being watched, admired.. men lusting over her. I always admired her strength and resilience. She wouldn’t cry after break ups, she was usually the one doing the breaking up. She saw men as toys, fun for now - break later.
