malevolent is one of the few podcasts that i think would be improved by a tv show adaptation (spongebob ice cream truck meme: IF IT WERE GOOD)
mostly bc i think being able to See how arthur's eyes are Not under his own control.
or like. things that really show the disconnect between them. (im doing another relisten there is a word for this) (anyway) at the book store in ep 1, john is looking at the desk. arthur says like 'what do you want me to do, move things around?' and john says 'no just stand here and look down' and i want to see arthur standing there unsure of what to do, while his eyes are darting around.
and then when john gets his hand, and then he's getting used to having this hand, and then there's That level of disconnect. their gestures are never symmetrical. there's the fact that arthur can't feel it, and that makes me think about john like rubbing his fingers together, clenching his fists, and arthur doesn't know. or looking for something. two hands searching for something but one is looking with the eyes, and one is looking just by touch. and their fights, i want to see arthur trying to hurt 'his own' hand.
